I don't believe that for real. I think they made some changes on that last year like he said. Probably didn't up the guaranteed money, but they probably did change the cap number so that they couldn't cut him or be forced to offer another extension.

What REALLY happened was they watched the preseason and realized we actually DO need him. I also think Aiyuk wanted to sign weeks ago but his agent wanted to play the long game and see if they could get more.
