Yeah, the fact Sorensen is the worst DC we've had since
Eric Mangini (remember those days
) has really made some brehs try to paint Wilks as a piece we should've kept. I honestly don't see it, his defense relied almost 100% on turnovers and that's not something that carries year to year, everything else was mediocre at best. Thing is though, mediocre at best is still miles better than the bullshyt we've had to endure with Sorensen.
If the argument is "we'd be better defensively this year if Wilks stays", I don't really have a rebbutal. My counter argument would be that we'd probably still be scratching and clawing to fight for a WC spot (and get destroyed in the postseason) and he'd still would've gotten fired after year 2.
