G Rap has Eminem in his top 10, but I don't see anybody rushing to say his opinion doesn't matter. I mean, people who list Eminem in their top 10 is white and/or knows nothing about Hip Hop. Right?

G Rap got mad respect for Canibus they work together regularly. There's been so many MC's some greats have to be left out of a top 10. I'd imagine Canibus would be in G's top 20.

Yea, I'm starting to believe so also. One of my favorite rappers of the 90's but he really doesn't have the resume, imo, to be in anyone's Top 10. He had one very dope album (Capital Punishment) which isn't a classic and his second album was very average, at best. Also, he showed a sharp decline in skills on that second album.

Only thing that diminished was his flow because he was fat as fukk and couldn't breathe properly.

His lyrics were still incredible

If you talking "lyricism" and you don"t include Canibus on your list, then your arguments are irrelevant...I don't care if your name is Kool G Rap...

You have no credibility with me...Why is hip hop acting like Canibus is not the greatest lyricist to have ever been exposed to the masses...?

The is NO rapper who has ever released an album (to sell 50K copies or more) who can say he/she is a better lyricist than Canibus...

Are these so called lyricists who claim to be better than Canibus ever written a rhyme like "Poet Laureate 2"...

Hip Hop opinion is a joke...

Canibnus isn't even remotely close to the best lyricist ever

there is no way you can say that.

in 95, when pac has matw...
there was a funk flex mixtape that featured pun.
which pretty much, and still is lightyears ahead of anything pac was about.
not to mention,..it was so far next level....
it was the same reaction, nas got for halftime, and big L, got for devil's son.
plus, the classic posse cut features of busta with tribe.

on top of the fact,..pun got better and better, and outclassed everyone, everytime.
on a level that is only matched in holy shyt moments all time, for that radio show freestyle/format media by:

busta : in the instance before everything remains raw drops
big l
juice
common
redman
krs
finesse

pun was better than big, when he first showed up.
real talk,..
pun was better than damn near the whole industry when he first appeared.

when that funk flex tape dropped,....pun was so next level.

nuffin could fukk with his appearance on that whole tape, the entire year, damn near.

you had to find the old stretch and bob freestyle on air vinyl...
to find moments as good or equal, for that year.
when the stretch and bob freestyle vinyl of on air performances was from a collective of years and appearance/performances.

Nah, his lyrics on that album definitely wasn't as good as on Capital Punishment. I love Pun but just keeping it real.
