It's like when someone fumbles a singular item in their hand and ends up knocking over more shyt in the pursuit of saving that ONE item and cause more damage. I don't think Jamie tried to help him at all, he just wanted to roast and got given more fodder and went in, but the fact that he couldn't defend himself or even make a shot across the bow shows that he really was out of his element being there and got exposed as such.
The funny thing about the whole matter is that a situation like that hasn't really lowered his ranking since he was already on the ground floor, but I think that people still having an interest in this thing and him being so readily accessible has him reliving this hell over and over again to the point where he's STILL trying to do damage control.
Plus he never ONCE mentioned how Jamie called him "Doug Christie" at the end of the shyt (Did he in the Vlad interview? Cause I ain't watching that shyt) as a parting shot when he finally took him off the stage. The Statute of limitations to swing on breh for that already passed over a decade a go, but he still out here trying cautiously put himself in a sympathetic light.
