Sad thing is that while Jamie is a really good comedian, he's not Dave, Eddie, Richard, Redd, Bernie etc...even Marty Mar. He's a better singer and actor than comedian but used comedy to break through. Most talented dude in Hollywood so there's that.

I don't feel like the greats would have been as quick to jump on a relative unknown. They would have been dismissive and got some pops in but would have kept it moving. If you ever been around your nikkas and it's a roast session going on you better have some shyt in your bag. No reason to get salt because it comes with the territory. Everybody can get it. nikkas that step in the cypher realize it can easily come back to them. If you don't got it at that second just be like "Ight you got it breh". Going off the video of the roast Jamie fox comes across as the a$$hole. He basically heckled him during his set. If he was bombing let him bomb and clown him afterwards. He mighta had some good jokes in there that would've turned it from a bomb into an ok set but we'll never know cause he got heckled and thrown off.

These roasts pretty much have an order. Get up roast the other roasters before moving on to the main guy, roast the shyt outta him and end with some positive shyt about how it's an honor to be there and they actually really admire them.

She saw he had one big opportunity to counter which would put him on but also that he wasn't taking the opportunity.

He’s the one who started roasting Jamie first- he put that energy out there himself. If you look at Jamie’s reaction, Jamie was like wtf. Then instead of being on his toes with a comeback - Doug let his emotion outride the comedy. How did Doug get up there as a newcomer and think he can roast a comedian heavy in the game that could possibly help out your career or look out, in front of a roomful of other comedians that support Jamie. 20 yrs later, he’s still mad - he just needs someone to blame. Bottom line, dude wasnt that funny before Jamie started going in on him - he was bombing. Comedy wasnt his calling if someone could end your “career” before it starts.

Facts if he was actually good with the jokes he could've went back at jamie.

I seen a video of Jamie roasting Kevin Hart. Kevin didn't just sit like a lame though, he started roasting jamie right back.


You a comedian, you literally supposed to be an expert at coming back at people. Dude just wasn't meant for this lane.
