If dude was that mad at him, he should have put them hands on him like LL did on the set of Any Given Sunday.

As a comedian, you have to be quick on your toes. Shyt gave me flashbacks to Nutty Professor when Reggie was snapping on Buddy Love but got schooled on stage
he wasn't gonna do that because all the comedians were snapping on each other that day. how corny would it would have been for him to snuff him and lets just say he snuffed him and lost? making it physical was a no win situation... his option was roasting back or saying you got it and played it off. he could have ran with the shyt did some stand up about it and whatever but he wasn't built like that. he was built for carrying it around and trying to look sympathetic about it depending on what platform he on

Honestly he should have fought Jaime. His career was over anyway he could atleast still have his pride and wouldn't still be steaming about it 17 years later.

Agreed his career didnt end because he had no comeback its cuz he did nothing. He could have controlled the narrative by punching Jamie and throwing him over the table mid roast...Nobody would be talking about the jokes, and he could have turned the assault into new material...The way he just went somber and packed up his cue cards and went home was sad...If i was Doug's agent i would have been in his ear like next time he talks go over and punch him in the head like Consequence did to Buddens...
