Damn man, Dre haters working overtime in this thread. So the guy behind Straight Outta Compton, Chronic, Doggystyle, 2001 and multiple other classics doesn't have any talent now :dahell:

:salute: Dre for being honest, he wants artists that he can mold and give direction, ain't nothing wrong with that.

Dre is bullshytting. He low key didn’t want to get exposed for not having any actual musical talent like Prince and MJ and Stevie Wonder which is why he declined to do a collab with them

This is actually an insult tk Prince, MJ, and Stevie Wonder. You really think they would reach out to work with a producer with no musical talent? Think about what you posted. Prince and MJ reached out to Dre not the other way around. They had a reason why they wanted to work with him.

It’s not hate. He’s been suspect and his work ethic was reportedly trash. He is a safe producer who doesn’t take chances and guards his reputation.

If people said this about Premo or a lot of producers that get propped to the same level as Dre, this board would erupt. And while I consider Premo a GOAT, he's a very safe producer. And I'm not talking about sample choices, I'm talking about actually making something that showcases a different side of his sound.

Preemo is great producer but one sound with not much range. He not afraid to do what he do though. He will not turn down shyt like that. It’s just gonna be mj on a preemo beat, that’s what you asked for. I think Dre was thinking he had to be different with those guys and he just was too afraid to take on the challenge or just be Dre. He has serious producers block and with that in mind I can see why he would not do it.

Dre isn't a "beats" type of producer (no pun). So it's not going in and giving someone a Dre beat as much as it is producing a Michael Jackson song. Who wants to be the dude that made a bad song with Michael Jackson or Prince?

Forgot about that, just the other day there was some shyt about xzibit (?) re-recording some line 500 times.

Prince and MJ would give Suge their location for that type of shyt :snoop:

Yep, Prince and MJ didn't need that type of guidance.

And the whole, well this producer worked with Michael Jackson and Prince is laughable. If people don't even acknowledge or mention said tracks, it proves Dre's point. Yes, it looks great that you have a Prince, Michael, or Stevie track on your resume, but if it's not a song that people even talk about or remember or hace to look up, what is the point?
