There are two types of blacks who'll look at the above and come to a conclusion.
Type 1: Blames these conditions solely on white supremacy, the legacy of slavery and jim crow (even with factual evidence that these conditions did not exist in either of those two eras). Type 1 will ultimately offer a solution that involves demanding help from white people and the government (mind you, the very same forces and entities they claim are oppressing them). Type 1 is convinced that the problems black people face are at the hands of some white man behind a large curtain. Any self accountability is frowned upon. Practicing group economics and fixing up their own communities ARE NOT AN OPTION.
The type 1 black will even go so far as to call another black with a differing opinion a "c00n" or an "uncle tom" . If a white person critiques the black community, he/she is immediately labeled a racist. Type 1 blacks are encouraged and egged on by their white liberal slave masters. The believe the lies that the white liberal has told them. Mainly that blacks are perpetual victims and are incapable of fixing their own issues.

Type 2: Often viewed as an uncle tom or a c00n, the type 2 black values the ideals of self accountability and self preservation. Unlike their type 1 counterparts, type 2 blacks firmly believe that they are capable of fixing the problems that exist in their communities without external influences. The type 2 black looks at the problems that exist in our community and offers solutions that the masses of blacks aren't willing to incorporate due to the idea of having to put in work. The type 2 black is often exhausted from repeatedly telling the masses and type 1 blacks that the problems we face could be solved through economic empowerment and education. The type 2 black values those ideals such a discipline, honor, and integrity. The type 2 black isn't nearly as concerned with racism as he/she is with combating social issues that exist within the community. The type 2 black is appalled by the level of degradation and social deviance that his/her race has become associated with. He/she cannot seem to understand why the masses and type 1 blacks call him/her a c00n and uncle tom while turning a blind eye to those individuals that are are actively degrading the community.

One person can do more than enough. We have a long history of just one person making moves and changing the game (look at what Geoffrey Canada and the Harlem Children's Zone is doing right now in Harlem). I personally feel that I, as one man, can save the world.

Glad you're getting involved though. I tried joining the UNIA but the shyt is in shambles. So I'm gonna hopefully take on a leadership role in the 100 black men group and try to push certain agendas based around group economics and the importance of black financial independence.

The UNIA has fallen off heavy up here in the Northeast.
