I haven't listened but I am guessing it sounds like your typical Drake album. At least it's getting love like the first three. After the first 3, Drake albums have become stale with a couple billboards songs. His mixtapes since So Far gone have been legit tho.

Kanye rented two stadiums, lived in there for like a whole month, 3 concerts, set himself on fire, got elevated like Owen hart, brought Kim Kardashian on a wedding dress and had a bunch of people “mad at him” to create buzz. Drake Dropped a picture with 12 emojis and waited till a day before the album came out for those billboards to pop up and still Smoked him.
And years from now, those who went to one of those shows that Ye did for DONDA will still be talking about the experience. What's going to be said about CLB that hasn't been said about any of his other albums?

Maybe it’s just me but I don’t really want Drake to switch up the production. Sure experiment with a couple songs here and there but…I came to Drake for this type of music lol

No one else in the rap game is making music with this type of production AND great rapping like Drake does. It fills a void that a lotta artists try to replicate but it just doesn’t sound as good
:yeshrug:

My main issue is keeping the best tracks and trying to make a cohesive album with high replay value not an album that sole purpose seems to be geared to streaming and making rap caviar playlist type tracks.

Take Care felt like a moment, NWTS felt like a moment, even IYRTITL did. I thought we were headed in the right direction with DLDT. But it’s back to over inflated albums with no cohesion or direction.

Anecdotes of course

My larger point is that people have access to so much and there’s so many different ways to listen music that the idea that most fans are running albums back over and over and over is not happening much anymore

if you take a poll on how many albums you listened to more than 5 times this year it wouldn’t be many at all for a lot of people when that use to be the norm
Casuals listen to rap caviar playlist like yourself. Hip hop heads still listen and care about albums.
