Early call for Album of the Year @ the Grammys (not like anyone cares about the Grammys). But I got it winning hardware

It’s a tough out this year with:

J Cole
Tyler
Nas (again)
Kanye

I could legitimately see any of those winning Rap album of the year as well as CLB

I know I'm late but just heard the song but anyway, 21 Savage did a great job with the Project Pat flow. Very impressed. Had to run it back like 3 times
Literally that and way 2 sexy is all I’ve heard. 21 def did good with it.

Drake probably won’t submit after he absolutely skewered the Grammys in support of The Weeknd. He said things that you can’t simply walk back and I doubt he even cares at this particular time.

Kanye will probably submit in Contemporary Christian Album as he did with Jesus Is King. So best rap album is looking like a fight between Nas, Cole, and Tyler. With Megan Thee Stallion and maaaybeeee Khaled as dark horses to fill out the nominations pool

Album of the Year? In the same year that Adele, Lil Nas X, Taylor Swift, Jazmine Sullivan, Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, Tyler, Kacey Musgraves and H.E.R have all dropped albums?

No chance.

Initially had it at 7-7.5, but it's too long and songs get sprawling. I like beat switches but execution matters. Down to 6-6.5 but enough replay value. 6.25

Favs:
Pipe Down (best song hands down)
no particular order for the rest
Champagne Poetry (second part>>>>>>>>>)
7 Am on Bridle Path :youngsabo:he doesn't miss on these
TSU
Papi's Home
Race My Mind (picture me rolling downtown in a A4)

Fair Trade oh yes, appropriate for my life (I let it slide when I really shoulda slid)
N 2 Deep
He should've shortened a lot of tracks, also he did wayyyy too many guest verses this year (love Lemon Pepper Wing "freestyle," Wants and Needs, What's Next, his chorus/verse on Over the Top and) . Over the 20 track "era."

f*ing Fans can def live without the first part
Way 2 Sexy should've just been Future :ahh: (love that F picked the Right Said Fred sample + floated, take off Aubs and Thugger)
Should've shortened the first verse of Get Along Better
In the Bible shortened Giveon's part, Durk was coo (mm mm mm mmm)
Ross ruined You Only Live Twice, wasn't bad but meh and weak opening (just Drake and Weezy *just call it like I see it I ain't even lookin n-a*)
The Remorse, skip the first part to "I wonder what it could've been if I had snakes in the mix"

Yebba's Heartbreak
Knife Talk (booty clapper lmao but love 21, love Project Pat intros made so much money offa dummies, offa dummies)- I liked most of Drake's verse ("getting real oppy outside* *spoiler alert, these n-as die*)
Love All (I did enjoy Jay's line "You know the price of everything but the value of nothing," accurate)
Girls Want Girls (only liked the bridge parts - asking me about set-settling down, cause you know that things are going my way) but want to hear more Lil Baby I enjoy his flow + raps
IMY2 (Cudi does nothing for me but great they aren't beefing anymore?)
Fountains is okay- not spectacular (only like the Baby, baby, is that called ululating? dk)

I agree that the project isn’t hurt if you leave your skippables off except for knife talk

I'd personally keep Yebba's Heartbreak, & Drake Only Love All

This project is growing/getting better each listen. Pipe Down is slowly becoming the premier track for me off it. I'm truly shocked Only Live Twice isnt getting more buzz, most underrated song on CLB
