X was huge before he died. Juice had hits and sold records before he died. Pop Smoke had less success but was clearly on the path to blowing up.

I still maintain X and Pop Smoke wold've been superstar level had they not passed. Rap is now in a space where everything and everyone has their own niche. There's no and won't be anymore where were you when so and so dropped this project type of convos anymore in real life. People ain't gonna be huddled up in front of the tv on 106 and Park and the like. It's pretty crazy the "Big 3" blew up before the streaming era took over looking back, I'm glad I had my formative years for it too.
