I couldn't find many black men examples that I personally like so I'll just use others:

Personally I could probably do business casual at work and smart casual for everyday

- Opens doors and changes perceptions:mjpls:.

- subconsciously makes you look fell"important" to other folks.

- It makes you look more affluent.

- Better quality broads will take you into consideration like :lupe:.

To me, this was the whole mindset behind "respectability" and "respectability politics" that the talented tenth championed and that so many sjw nowadays say doesn't work.

Obviously, there are exceptions to everything, but this as a mentality is what separated many of the successful black families from the rest and continuously does so today.

Respectability doesn't stop racism. But it changes perceptions. More importantly, perceptions within ourselves and our own abilities.

My job used to be business casual as the standard with business formal for important meetings.

Nowadays, we can wear jeans and a polo shirt or short sleeve button down. My boss AND boss' boss are located 1,000 miles away....so there's no need to impress them by dressing up extra. I will say though, that a breh (especially dark-skint) in a suit will get the attention of females from every race ages 18 to 65.

Man, you are looking at it from a square perspective. I'm talking about getting money and getting at biitches.

Like I said earlier there was this hustling dude that was we talking about how he stole $2,000 in cash and like five credit cards in a office building and got no suspicious looks because he was dressed appropriately !!!

Yeah I couldn't rock like this on an everyday basis. It doesn't match my lifestyle. I drive a box Chevy, so hoppin out in something like this just doesn't fit lol. I do own some items like this for special occasions though, going out with the wife, functions where this is expected, etc. But on the daily I'm usually in a blank tee, premium raw denim or fog sweats, Jordan 3's or 4's (only J's I wear), vans, or air max or something.

It's not exactly square but correlates with what you were saying. The mentality allowed the talented tenth to get better access to monetary opportunities and the pick of the litter when it came to black women.

No to all that.

You are trying to please others... If that is your look then go for it but fashion never had one wave. Originality is always key.

The man makes the clothes... Never live your life in a way where you are trying to make others comfortable. Fashion is about being true to self.

Dapped & repped pimp.

Anyways, we have a uniform at my job, and their is no way I'm dressing business casual in my spare time :mjlol:
