Drew Brees is going to pass Peyton for most passing yards in the next two weeks....

Drew Brees is one of the best QBs I've ever seen

He's better than Rodgers to me but needa another ring to be considered top 5

If you just watch him the man RARELY makes mistakes :whew:

Each pass is precise, he's patient, his iq is through the roof and he knows when to get rid of it, it always seems like whenever he's on a clutch drive he's got ultra instinct or some shyt

Sorry...but to be a barely .500 won qb on the road has a lot to do with leaving the confinea of the dome. Peyton’s teams were much better on the road as a result of his play. It matters in this case

Not really when Rodgers is the same. Wins are a team factor. Qbs can ball outside a dome and still lose.

Peyton threw a bad pass and his bumass special teams fukked up a onside kick. Did you watch the game. :why:
Peyton threw the game losing INT. You saying it casually as if it's no big deal. :mjlol:

People talking about the knock on Brees on the road...if we going to get into that, fine. But let's remember his two biggest games.

@ San Fran in Divisional Playoffs. Top defense. Brees LIT THEM UP.

@ Minnesota in Division Playoffs. Top defense. Brees was garbage first half but lit them up second half.

These were the two top defenses in the league those respectable seasons and on the road, Brees got it done. Until his own defense choked. So it's not like Drew just goes out and fukking sucks every road game. On the biggest road games for him he more than holds his own.

I'm not going to allow you to post lies friend. :usure:

Indy went 14-2 that year, they did not go 13-3. Indy started 14-0 that year with Manning. They lost game #15 vs the Jets because they pulled Peyton. They lost game #16 because they sat Peyton.
Indy had a real chance to go undefeated that year until Polian/Dungy pussed out on us.

There is no shock that Peyton won that year, since the MVP award is always heavily based on team record. Indy had the better record even though they threw 2 games.

Try again.

:francis:
The Saints rested starters in Week 17. It's apples and oranges. You don't get to afford the luxuruy of playing "What if" when it comes to MVP.

"Oh I know Aaron Rodgers got hurt last year, but boy we know what he would have done in those remaining games had he played so let's give him MVP".

I already said it's apples and oranges with their stats that season but bottom line is Brees' was better. Now, if Indy's one lone extra win than the Saints is enough to feel Peyton deserved it over him, then fine. That's fair.

No
He just became the all time leader for completions and will eventually own the record for most TDs as well. With that being said why does it seem like the media doesn't suck him off as much as they do Brady or Rogers?

Media doesn't suck Brady off at all. They say any and everything to undermind his claim as GOAT. If Brady is not the REIGNING Superbowl MVP, he's being shat on.

Now Rodgers? His ass throw an off balance deep out for a first down in a REGULAR SEASON LOSS and media and fans start partying blissfully like those three idiots who worked at Sum Dum Goy in fukkin Last Dragon.

I'm not playing what if. The Colts finished 14-0 that year in games that Peyton played all the way. The Colts gave up and pulled Peyton for the last two games, they still had the leagues best record.

I'm not arguing about who had the better season, the MVP award isn't a best stats award.
You said that the media cheated Brees to give the MVP to their golden boy Peyton. The media will either give it to best player on league's best team, or a player who broke a significant record. That was not Brees. Look at the last 10 years, you will find that this is consistently correct.

You said that if the situations were reversed, Manning still would have won. I disagree.

I don't personally agree with how the award is given out, but Brees was not cheated if you pay attention to how it works.

Congrats to him ...after the way he started out in San Diego I can honestly say I thought he'd be out the league quick....never forgave San Diego for letting him go never been a fan of Phillip Rivers....SD wins the chip in 06 or 07 if Brees was here I will forever believe that

The media was giving it to Peyton regardless. They made their decision by Week 12. I vividly remember all the MVP rankings leading up to the latter part of the season. He was their choice. He would have had to take a nose dive of epic proportions to make them stray from their pick.

Some damn good arguments in here and honestly it should be a lot closer he doesn't get the recognition he deserves. I had them going to the superbowl last year and I completely forgot the Minnesota miracle like how lucky was that. I think he needs one more chip but he definitely should be considered in that top 5 discussion.

If I remember correctly the Saints lost to the Cowboys in Week 14 while still playing all their starters. Meanwhile the Colts only lost when Peyton and other starters got pulled in the middle of the Jets game. That probably had an influence on the voters as well

Drew Brees reminds me of somewhat of Dwayne Wade. As great as his numbers was, he got overshadowed by two other greats in his prime(Lebron/Kobe, Brady/Peyton)
