I get everybody was too busy watching the Bulls win rings during those years to pay attention to anything else, but these are facts. You can look it up if you want. If that happened during the modern era, he would get slaughtered by everybody on this board for having good stats but no wins (see Chris Paul).

I love both of them. Both of them are probably top-10 all-time. But I gotta take Hakeem. Dominant Hakeem was the greatest all-around big man I've ever seen.

And all of this "but Duncan had his minutes limited" talk doesn't make sense...as if Duncan himself didn't play a role in that...

Like...you think you could have gone to Shaq and said "Hey shaq we want to extend your career for a few years so we want to play you less as time goes on...let Kobe drive for awhile"

Obviously that is not the way it went down...

You think you could have done that with Hakeem...because I remember before he was viewed as a gentle giant african with savant post moves he was doing stuff like this...





You think you could go to Hakeem Slapacacuwon and be like "Hey big fella we need to tail your minutes back we want you to be around for 5 more years"

I don't think you could have...I think Slapacacuwon would have pushed your wig back, told you to shut the fukk up and make sure he got the ball 25 times...

If ppl wanna argue prime dream vs prime Duncan, than all their accolades go out the window cuz those are a function of longevity and what not.

Jus off the eyeball test I'd choose Hakeem. That guy was freakishly agile for someone so big. His game was so smooth and pretty. Looking like a guard out there dribbling :wow:
