Kobe's the best of the 00s because he's the only dude who ain't have peaks or valleys in his career. He's been consistent every year as one of the top 3 players and putting up 27/5/5. Duncan/Shaq were great in the early 00s but tailed off at the end. Bron was around in the beginning and only got to Kobe's level in 08. Kobe's the only dude to be arguably the best in the league every single year of the decade.

That by itself should make it obvious that he's the best.

Fistful of jewels
He is to Kobe, what Kareem is to MJ.

Great bigs are constantly disrespected.

Where did I say this? :what: I responded to a post that referenced Kobe's sacrifice by pointing to the fact that Duncan sacrificed as well. :heh: nikkas be way to sensitive when it comes to Kobe.

A) I didn't say anything about Kobe being selfish.
B) Since you brought it up are you gonna deny that Kobe is more selfish then Tim? :usure:
C) Kobe is a great player no doubt about it and among the best of the best all time. He was a key contributor to all 5 of the Lakers most recent titles. However can we please, please stop acting like those 5 rings are a function of his approach more so than playing for one of the greatest orgs ever and having great teammates and coaches? Once again that's not to say that he wasn't a key contributor but nikkas act like those 5 rings put him above reproach. Let's not act like that same approach isn't greatly responsible for the worst 3 year period since they moved to LA. Duncan in LA prolly has 7 or 8 rings right now.
:whoa:
Let's flip the script equally. Give Kobe SA front office where they not only sign quality free agents, but draft quality rookies as well. Let's not pretend that the SA front office isn't one of the best in that regard. Many would rate them thee best.

There is a whole lot I disagree with in this post.

So the Spurs haven't been a model franchise for the past two decades and Pop isn't one of the greatest coaches ever? :what:

Your argument makes no sense. Both players were in stable organizations, had great teammates and great coaches. Kobe's production has been greater for a longer period than Duncan. I don't get what's so hard to understand about this. :mindblown:

I don't even give a shyt about resumes. I saw them both play. Kobe was simply better. So was Shaq. Duncan deserves his props but he's not as good as either Kobe or Shaq.
:comeon:

Duncan was on their level. Don't try to re-write history now.

I'd take Kobe 10 outta 10 times. See how easy that is. You act like going against the grain makes you right. This is all personal opinion. It just so happens that more people in the know (former/current players, coaches, GMs) pick Kobe over anyone else in this era.

Why is it hard to just accept the fact that you Kobe haters are OUT OF STEP with people who've played and coached the game. All the former/current greats and coaches continually heap nothing but praise on Kobe. It must really bother you guys that your favorite players favorite player is Kobe.
Miss me with this bytch shyt. Of course what I said was my opinion. Unlike fanboys like you, I don't have an agenda. I'm not bothered by people not agreeing with me, but obviously you can't say the same. I don't hate Kobe and I never have. I just think that he's overrated. It has nothing to do with going agains the grain, thats my opinion. If that hurt's your feelings then keep crying about it like a little girl.

So when Duncan let TP take over the team, he was sacrificing, but when Kobe was letting Shaq be the focal point of the team, he wasn't sacrificing?

You want to say Kobe's more selfish, yet his style of play has led him to five championships and seven Finals appearances.
:smh: at Kobe "letting" Shaq be the focal point. You Kobe fanboys are just waaaay too insecure. The Lakers team success does not mean that Kobe isn't selfish. This season is evidence that the Lakers team success is predicated on a lot more than Kobe getting his. Kobe has been extremely fortunate. That's not hate, that's a fact of the matter.
