WHO?

Who's this magical QB who was gonna lead them once they were "ready" in two years? And if they're not going to be ready for another couple of years doesn't that also mean that the quarterback they would get in those next couple of years would have to go through a learning curve?

I don't see it, fam. If you can get a franchise QB now, then do it.

Besides, why are cats acting like we're not gonna start the season with sorry ass Bradford? Y'all REALLY think that fakkit scrub is gonna lead us somewhere? C'mon y'all.....

For the record, I LOATHE Bradford. I'd damn near trade all those picks just to have him erased from my Eagles memory. Please don't mistake my post as a Bradford support.

Having said that, I dont see how its a well thought out plan to trade 4 or 5 potential future starters on a team with as many holes as we have for anything short of a consensus bona fide.

We just traded away our next 3 years of draft potential. Where do you plan on finding the offensive line that's going to keep this guy off the floor at? How about the defensive backfield and linebackers to actually have to keep him from passing 40 times a game since you'll always be playing catch up?

I just don't see what was so hard for the Eagles to keep their picks and build through the draft. They could have actually had a semi-solid team that was ready for a QB to lead them somewhere in a few years. They just depleted their draft potential for the next 3 years. And I was actually giving Howie Roseman props a month ago for fleecing the Dolphins to have him turn around and get fleeced by Cleveland.

Just heard that the Broncos are interested in trading for Chase Daniels.
exactly. its crazy man

to do this after signing bradford and daniel...crazier

Does anyone else thing the qb bubble is going to pop soon in the NFL?

I mean... we have whole drafts being traded away for potentially "average" qb's and career backup qb's signing huge mega deals.

:what:

I just think something is going to change. Teams will learn to not leverage their entire franchise on sheer hope that a qb will lead them to the promised land in 4 years.

edit* Running game, o-line and D. Denver showed that it can happen.

QB is the most important position on an NFL team and this not debatable.

Broncos did it with arguably the best QB of all time regardless if he was a shell of himself.

Ravens did it with Trent Dilfer too. But both teams had the best defense in the league. Obviously it can be done, but it's a long shot. Not to mention what happens when your down 28-27 in the 4th with two minutes left and you have some scrub QB leading your offense down the field :mjlol:

These trades to move up in the draft rarely work out. You give up way too much to take a chance on a player that you have no way of knowing how good they will turn out.

But with that said, if you hit on a franchise QB you look like a genius. Like the Giants when we traded for young Elijah :umad:

Watson is legit. He's gonna be a great QB in the NFL.

Also, Brad Kaaya & Chad Kelly >>> this draft class

i agree, Kelly has some things to clean up but has legit talent. Kaaya isnt the most mobile guy, but has pinpoint accuracy and the leadership qualities team crave. id be very surprised if they dont go 1-2-3 because theres some good teams with meh QB's right now. just feels like a weird year to do this, watch Lynch fall to someone around 8-10 and hes the best one :heh:

I've been saying for a few years now that some GM should try to emulate what the Seahawks did with Wilson on his rookie contract. If the QB reaches elite status (like Wilson) by his third of forth year, give him the huge pay day that some of these guys are getting. Otherwise, keep drafting QB's in like the 2nd or 3rd round and let them go when the rookie deal runs out. I realize there are more challenges to consistent change in the QB position than say RB, but you can't tell me throwing money and draft picks at Osweiler, Flacco and a guy from a 1-AA school is a savvy move.

Seattle gave Matt Flynn and Wally Whitehurst contracts before that.

I'm not saying qb is unimportant man.

:pachaha::snoop:

When you trade 19 draft picks or eat up 48% of your cap spcace for one... thats too much imo.
