while i tend to agree with you on overall things the govt should do....It's a great idea. The model of shared wealth/sacrifice worked well during the Country's largest wealth expansion. Post WW2 - 1980s.
Unless you are a wealthy person like @DEAD7 and @Slystallion who are so wealthy that they live off capital investments, this is a great idea for those of us who live off wages.
Instead of siphoning as much as possible to send to shareholders, companies will be forced to spend money taking care of workers. It's also good for businesses, as more earnings will go to making capital investments in the business.
I also think it will be good for managers as they can plan for the long term without having to suck Wall St dikk every quarter.

And their immigration policy?Germany has a similar form of capitalism and they have the strongest economy in Europe.
Can you explain?while i tend to agree with you on overall things the govt should do....
have you ever considered what it would take to not live off wagesyou dont necessarily need alot of money to replace typical salaries
And their immigration policy?
Honestly, that should be illegal. Unless your company is at risk of bankruptcy/liquidation it shouldn't be allowed to move operations overseas to pay some third world national $2 per day for the benefit of stockholders.
this doesn't even make any sense
Yall gotta stop applying apples and oranges.Germany has a similar form of capitalism and they have the strongest economy in Europe.
in todays environment you can buy things from stores and resell them and make more than some people do in a month from a good salaryCan you explain?
Yall gotta stop applying apples and oranges.
Germany was rebuilt by the West and didn't have to invest in actual defense...and the culture is just different.
We need American solutions to American issues.
Copying Europe isn't inherently progressive.Re-organizing corporate structure isn't a government spending program so I don't see how cost would come into play. The whole American solutions to American issues trope is something straight out of a Republicans book when ever a progressive considers the effectiveness of programs that other countries are doing. I can see how adopting some policies like gun control wouldn't be as effective here due to centuries of having a firearm industry but I don't see how restructuring corporations so that workers can have a say at the table is something that wouldn't translate in America. Whether its currently politically feasible is another story.

Stop pretending that not being inventive is revelatory
This de facto nationalization of corps is progressivism at its worst.
I can’t believe the support in this thread for this.
Capital flight and business dislocation clearly mean nothing to Coli progressives at this point.
They have said “fukk the American economy”.
