Well, this seems to be an Aftermath thing. Dre doesn't allow any MC's he's working with to bring any rhyme books or pre-written songs into the studio. You have to create right there on the spot. If he doesn't like it, you have to re-do it. Sometimes it's lines and sometimes it's whole songs. There's articles about it.
