I'm seriously considering doing the same.
I'm typing this from my home office in sweat pants with a t shirt on
People who are skilled and can get other jobs will leverage that :yeshrug:
So companies that require in person workers will either pay a premium or have to accept mediocre people who ain't good enough to compete for the remote jobs
2021+ not being remote is like not offering 401k or PTO. Somebody will accept those jobs but it won't be anyone with options

Keep thinking everybody can just threaten to quit and these companies will buckle.

What they'll do is start eliminating jobs that may be considered ancillary, then they'll consolidate different jobs into 1 job with more responsibilities and less pay.

They'll also target Indian, African and Asian talent who have no issue coming to the office 5 days a week.

Nobody said any of that:mjlol:. Nobody is suggesting someone who is at an entry level position is going to be quitting because they can't work from home. But best believe that the people that really know their stuff and have a valuable skillset will be jumping shyt if WFH isn't a perk. It was already happening pre-pandemic and now that people got a taste of it, expect it to happen more often.

Thats not how this works.. :pachaha:

The more people move about the landscape, the more we consume.. They can't leach off you if you don't leave the house for work..

this is exactly why nyc recalled all of it's city workers back to the office. they'll be paying tolls, gas tax, buying metrocards, buying breakfast/lunch/dinner, buying cologne/perfume and spending money on new clothes. forcing people to work away from home to stimulate the economy even more.

It’s definitely a boomer power play.

Im at the office now, took 20 minutes just to find parking and thats only because I left my house an hour before I had to come in to work.

Our space only has 3 legit desks and only 2 with computers actually needed to do certain work... there will be 6 people working tonight.

shyt is stupid as fukk. 3 people could literally work this shift at home. Honestly, my office at most needs 2 people. But lets stack all 8+ people in this tiny ass space just for “collaboration” and the dumb ass belief that shyt can’t get done or people can’t come in if necessary.

shyt is retarded but this is what them old fukks believe... if you’re not in the office you’re not working yet an entire year of us doing part-time remote worked proved otherwise...

They even just issued us special “work from home” PC’s yet we can’t even work from home now. Just gonna be a bunch of people sitting around talking shyt

see and this is a major issue because as you stated if you wfh all that gas, commuting, tolls, going out... everything goes down and they dont want the economy and companies to lose money...:beli:

And the chick in the op is working in Marietta Georgia... I believe her when she said fukk that shyt. It was the same thing when I was working in Kennesaw. I was promised half time remote work but would end up either driving around downtown atlanta for hours or driving from Henry County all the way to Kennesaw for dumb shyt and back.

My trucks transmission blew because of that bullshyt

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
yep there was many stories in san francisco where many of these companies couldn't afford the buildings in the pandemic because they sat empty and employees was forced to wfh...:francis: the building owners are probably pissed they not getting rents like they used to...

All of these cities looked different back in the day. If we end up having technology where we can work from home with no issues or even work in a place of our choosing (Starbucks, library, park etc) they could rebuild these buildings into homes but the world doesn’t want skylines to go away lol
