But when you are working from home you can do it at your leisure....:pachaha: and plus you dont even have to leave the house how is that not a win. take a break anytime you want, drink all you want, do what you want...

I wish I was working from home but as an amazon driver I gotta be on the road in the afternoons...:francis: 9-10 hour shifts...
working from home is the BEST
people complaining about working from home? :mjtf:

Most definitely. They were already going to start hiring people for less once they moved the company to low cost of living location.

I already said this from the beginning. JP Morgan ain’t paying no worker 150K a year while they sit at home in Kentucky lol
I heard Zuckerberg or one of those fukks talking about this.

They didn't care what my cost of living was until living out of state became a possibility.

:camby:

They don't pay me more because I live in the city instead of the suburbs, or based on how inexpenisve/expensive each employee's neighborhood is.

Competitive rates are competitive rates. Lowball top talent because of where they live and see where that gets you...

Love it. The pandemic sucked but it showed us what life could be in some ways too. Adapt or die :pacspit:

Just picked up a gig that they redesigned altogether just so I could work from home. And they asked for a list of places where I want to move when my lease is up so they can tweak it accordingly.

If they want you, they'll do whatever they have to to get you

Coming up on 15 years next March at my job and I am sick to DEATH of working with the general fukking public. 2020 was such a wonderful feeling of not having to see these entitled fakkit ass motherfukkers every day of my life. Now we'll be back to full capacity by the middle of June and I'm thinking about doing the same goddamn thing.

I'd honestly rather work from home. fukk these patrons, fukk that commute, fukk my co-workers.

My company makes medical devices and kits we have to stay in a 100 percent sterile environment no way we can do WFH. Our front office is a ghost town but R&D, Chemist's, Lab techs, Bulk Form., analysts, testers, fillers, packagers, shipping and receiving all have to be there and have been there since this shyt started. The bonuses we've been receiving tho, are on par with the Combat pay I was getting in the Marine Corps. I cleared my first bona-fide 100k yr by myself (with out combined income) due to the Pandemic for just basically showing up and doing my regular ass job.

What type of academic background do you need for this type of job?

In the case of my job/team, we deal with sensitive data and that job at minimum demands 5 days a month of office work for more senior engineers. Ill never be fully remote.

People dont wanna commute anymore, businesses need to understand this or lose out on top talent

don't blame them, its now a requirement and not a "perk"

why should i drive a hour to work in traffic sit at a chair for 8 hours and then a hour home rinse and repeat 5 days a week for like 11 months of the year. When for the past like 14 months I worked from home perfectly fine with zero hiccups

I'd quit as well

People that are starving across the globe could study, work hard and completely come up off of this. It's all fun and games until these companies start hiring EVEN MORE Indians and foreigners living overseas. You can think that you're gonna shake them down if you want to.
:mjlol:

"You want to work from home or else, huh? Well, we'll just pay Kumar over in India or Cho in Korea a percentage of what we pay you. He may not be as good, but he gets the job done. Being that he lives across the globe and us having the luxury of the World Wide Web, he doesn't have to show up to the office neither. It's a win/win for us, pal."
:smugdraper:

It'll have these entitled ass Liberal Leftists cacs sounding like MAGA's on some "They're taking our jobs! Okay! I'll go back to the office!" :damn: with the quickness. When those bills are due, many people's minds will change. ESPECIALLY with the cost of living skyrocketing across the nation and in THIS economy.
:whew:

Keep thinking everybody can just threaten to quit and these companies will buckle.

What they'll do is start eliminating jobs that may be considered ancillary, then they'll consolidate different jobs into 1 job with more responsibilities and less pay.

They'll also target Indian, African and Asian talent who have no issue coming to the office 5 days a week.

THIS.

My job isn't WFH but if it was I would still rather come into the office. Only takes 5-10 minutes to get there (with traffic).

Rather use up their electricity, water, and air conditioning than my own. Plus I like having the ability of getting up and walking around the building versus sitting in my drawers in my bed or at my desk not really tryna do shyt.

Everyone is different though. :ehh:
You know if you use your home as a workplace you could write some of it off your taxes, right?

I don’t mind the hybrid. Let those who wanna come in everyday just to get away from their family, talk to their work boos, be in people’s faces do that.

Ill come in on the weekends alone. Like i said I don’t mind it but I could really use it right now
