I’m taking a pay cut to wfh.

Don’t care.

I have multiple streams of income but, the flexibility to move is priceless. Right now I’m in a different country, in a 5 star hotel on the beach. If I had to be in the office, this would have been impossible.

This seems like the best idea for me moving forward. I take an hour train to work, there's people on the train without masks, the job isn't even mandating people get vaccinated

Breh just think about all the time we waste getting ready for work, then stuck in traffic, coming and going. That shyt adds up. It’s stressful and tiring. Just thinking of that frustrates me. I can’t and won’t back to that life unless I’m paid a certain amount.

What do you do again? I'm trying to live like this :mjcry:
data analyst

But you should be good enough to be a health consultant at point in your career. I’m sure you land a wfh position with minimal effort.

My company was tryna to push for us to go to the office sept 13.
-first they did a soft remote application work to change status. They thought only 15% were going to file for it. But everybody filed one. They ignored the applications and denied everybody’s applications.
-then they did a survey which everybody responded no they didn’t want to go due to “covid concerns”. Now they push it back to January. I’m currently looking for another job in the mean time.
My company scheduled a return to the office after Labor Day but pushed the date back to November when the delta variant flared up. I think the damage was done though because there was a spike of people quitting as we got closer to September.

In a recent newsletter, they mentioned an option to apply for permanent remote status (with the potential to reduce your pay if you move somewhere inexpensive smh) so I'm going to give that a shot and if they say no, I'll quit after I get my bonus in January

Yea I've been working with a Career Coach, for about a month. I actually speak to her later today. She fixed my resume, I do about 5 apps a day
Are other people on your team looking to get out too now? Sounds like your boss is clueless right now because this isn't the job market to be forcing employees to do anything, especially petty stuff like dress code rules.

Lol man this bytch is a stickler and a type B personality. She wakes up at 4am, drives from Jersey, and sent an email saying if you are here at 9:01 you are late. The morale in the office was already a 0, now it's -25. The only thing is some people in there are kiss asses so they won't say shyt

This is what's up. I can go visit y folks if I want to without using up and take my laptop with me. But people don't know how to move talking bout the job should pay their internet bill if they are working from home... like the job aint gonna be like :childplease: We pay the internet bill at the office.

My job is permanently Remote now. This lifestyle is way better than commuting 5 Days a week. I get more value out of my home being here more often, getting things done around the house intermittently, pets are not as lonely, and when work is done, I'm immediately on to something else instead of driving 30-45 minutes home.

I believe some of my superiors may start looking at me funny if I don't try to go for a Management position in 2022, most of those positions being in a Office/Building. I don't have an issue with a Hybrid schedule or taking 1-2 weeks to help with a Go-Live, but I have no interest commuting 5 days a week, even for another $20k. I've made that much on the side the past 2 years through Gig Apps when I feel like it which is enough to cover my Mortgage and utilities.

All that to say I really need to get my Certs and Tech Skills up over the next year or things could potentially go downhill. Or get an online business going soon in conjunction with that I'm already doing.

My company never would of had WFH unless covid happened. Now at least if you want to go in you can but for my department, unless you need to visit a site or work on a lab or something, you can stay home. Already got the ok to work from another place/country so will be looking into that, but first would be going back home for a few months.

My job included the same stipulation in their remote work status application/form. But the whole workforce filed for one. :lolbron:They were not expecting people to eagerly opt not want to be in the trash ass office.
