My job is permanently Remote now. This lifestyle is way better than commuting 5 Days a week. I get more value out of my home being here more often, getting things done around the house intermittently, pets are not as lonely, and when work is done, I'm immediately on to something else instead of driving 30-45 minutes home.
I believe some of my superiors may start looking at me funny if I don't try to go for a Management position in 2022, most of those positions being in a Office/Building. I don't have an issue with a Hybrid schedule or taking 1-2 weeks to help with a Go-Live, but I have no interest commuting 5 days a week, even for another $20k. I've made that much on the side the past 2 years through Gig Apps when I feel like it which is enough to cover my Mortgage and utilities.
All that to say I really need to get my Certs and Tech Skills up over the next year or things could potentially go downhill. Or get an online business going soon in conjunction with that I'm already doing.
