What's the point of having games or exclusives especially when 60% of them end up as apart of a backlog of shyt *we* still havent played yet.

It's been the same story for 3 gens now.
Fast out the gate with lots of money hatted 3rd party exclusives mixed in with first party games then fall flat on their face within 3 years and stop releasing games.
They've had the same problem for 3 gens. Lack of variety and first party support.
They need more studios. It's as simple as that. Sony and Nintendo embarrass Microsoft on that front.

They'll be another. Same backwards compatibility, same multimedia set up.
Same sparse collection of exclusives that folks eat up every year.

Microsoft's Xbox brand is a multi media platform device that offers users the ability to also play video games... not vice versa. The transition was made this generation.
I must of turned into a casual gamer cause all of these issues on why the Xbox sucks doesn't effect me whatsoever. Wife just bought me one, we use it for everything plus I got Madden and GTA, I'm good.

But Nintendo was struggling never the less. They didn't release the games enough games on the Wii U. Wii U was a decent system with good games, but those games are few and far between. Now everything is getting ported to the switch. If Nintendo slows down on releasing big games every year, their numbers will go down. One thing though is Nintendo has far more 3rd party support this gen than last gen.
