ETrade, Schwab, or TD Ameritrade?

I only have a handful of stocks will it be difficult?

I just put more money in my account to buy some gun stocks today.

No u can switch and they'll allow u to keep your stock positions during the switch meaning u don't have to sell everything to change over. It's not hard but u gotta take the time to go sign forms and what not.

Merrill Lynch gave me the bread for opening a total account with 50k or more in it. I rolled two retirement accounts, my personal brokerage account and started a new checking account with $2000 cash in bank of America since they own Merrill Lynch and everything is linked. My buddy works for Merrill and kept telling me to come bring my money there. He gets the commission, but I got the 30 free trades and the $250 for my trouble after 90 days. I used to have Ameritrade.

what's the fine print on that?

does that include options and does it have a cap on the $ amount

if it includes options i might need to make that swithch

My optionexpress account just switched to Charles Schwab

I'm going to switch and move everything in my Ox/Cs account to IB but want to make sure they don't freeze my IB account while they do that. If they do, I'll just keep Charles Schwab . The main reason to consolidate is if you're buying on margin

Only drawback for Robinhood is you can't do dividend reinvestment.

from what i remember the compliance dept said something about how they dont post on or update some electronic blotter...some BS
im sure it has more to do with robinhood not being part of the collusion/oligarchy that they want to maintain market supremacy

The more money u move, the bigger the cash bonus. Gotta maintain the balance 90 days to get paid. It goes in increments. 50k gets u one thing 100k gets u more. I don't know anything about the options. Also I think u get more money for opening more accounts. I did an IRA, Self directed account and a checking. If u get the credit card u my can get more. I didn't want that.

I don't day trade, but I didn't want to pay for commissions out of prinicple. so when my buddy told me about that, I was all about that.

yeah this is pretty good, i researched the 100 free trades and it doesn't seem to cover options, which is what I do most . But if I was only doing stocks I'd switch for sure.

I use Robinhood. Like mamba posted, it's only downside is that you can't reinvest dividends and it's not the best for day trading.

For pure investing though it's hard to beat.

You get instant deposits up to $1000 so you don't have to worry about any 3 day delays to use your money unless you dropping more than a stack into it.
