:sas2: keep supporting the system like that, and when (not if) millions of qualified employees leave the workplace at once, is when these employers be :sadcam:

I got a feeling that the particular day will not be too long from now.

The system the way it is, is on the verge of collapse. Entrepreneurship is going to be the norm soon.

I keep telling you negros that Africa is ripe with opportunity a college degree from an American university puts you in the automatic upper class. You have white expats from all over the world paying off their mortgage and debt back in their home countries in 3 years working in Africa because they get a sweet expat package where everything is paid for. Car, Housing and salary is basically pocket/leisure money non-taxed unless you are a US citizen. THat money is used to open a business here.

I moved because the job process was just damn near depressing mind you I have a Master's and was a Bio/Finance double major in college with good experience and internships during every summer of my college years. The job process was too depressing, networking, applying online. I did all that shyt. The reality is that in the US and anywhere in the developed world it is saturated with educated people and people with degrees. Your merits really does not distinguish. The competition is stiff. Add race to it then you are face GREAT obstacles.

Why not sacrifice your way of life for more money and greener pastures and God knows what is going to happen? Job creation these days are menial jobs and I read somewhere like a lot of the good jobs within a corporation are not advertised as much to the public rather are done through referral, networking etc.. and that the job are published to the public because they are bound to by law even if they already have their ideal candidate.

I looked at African/European companies in my field that had offices in Africa and started from there went to "Careers in Africa" career fairs in NY and never looked back. I applied and got great amount of interviews that turn into job offers.

My advice: LOOK OUTSIDE YOUR COMFORT ZONE, SEE THE WORLD AS GLOBAL JOB MARKETPLACE. THe United States in terms of creating good jobs is DONE. Unless your parents know the owner and higher ups of that corporation look somewhere else. Look at place where skilled labor is in high demand. When these job creation numbers come out it is mostly menial/service industry jobs. Good jobs in the States are very limited and the competition for them is unbelievable. I hope y'all are seeing the writing on the wall.

I hope nikkas is paying attention

In the Silver Lining
dont know, if given a litany of factors, that blacks should be always be compared to whites, after (slavery, discrimination, segregation, implicit bias, etc)...

but it is worth noting, a comparison, of equaled type people and the type of disrespect, they have to endure and excuses, and no solid reason for anyone black to be white

But what is more telling, that black needs to take care of themselves, communities and building a large infrastructure to do so...

Le Continent Noir
What country are you in?

They're not racist towards whites, Arabs, Indians,Asians, etc? Nothing?

I am based in Nairobi, Kenya but I travel throughout the continent that's why I can make that observation. Africans are generally warm people and that's why they have gotten fukked over so many times. THey need to change that

:mjlol: That's because of inflation.

Y'all kill me on this site plus 20 years ago degrees were more technical today they have Bullshyt degrees like Theater, Music Industry and Film

People were getting paid 50k and above back in the 90s with a bachelor's degree in "bullshyt" majors, when gas was little over $1 per gallon and minimum wage was under $5. Now, they pay people LESS as the cost of living goes up. Those comfy white collar jobs are disappearing and you have people getting as desperate as moving to another continent to work (not knocking anyone traveling for leisure, but for work :mindblown: ). In a 1st world country. Living to work is not the way out of the rat race.

Now everyone is killing themselves in STEM and not properly rewarded with the good paying jobs due to oversaturation and the influx of immigrants taking those jobs for a much smaller salary.

Could this possibly be the after effect of us not creating enough businesses to fall back on and relying only on degrees and white employers who may or may not be racist and not focusing on generational wealth and black economy?

Job market is rough, though.

The huge influx of college grads the past 10 years is starting to catch up with the economy. And non-STEM graduates are in the worst shape. Because at least a STEM degree can be parlayed into a Masters/Doctorate, so you can get an industry job.

A lot of students are taking clerical, retail, administrative, and government jobs that barely require a high school degree. New York times ran a story about a job for a mail clerk that required a bachelor's degree.

I think the story in 5 or 10 years will be people are graduating with a bachelor's degree but settling for an entry level position at Sensormatic.

Not sure what this guy did in college, but if you get a degree in a field that is not hot, you should be on your grind with internships and part-time work in your field.

It all boils down to not networking or having an in through family or friends. Nowadays degrees are everywhere. People get masters degrees online through basically 3rd world schools. Biggest scam ever...

You aren't gettin ANY job off your University of Phoneix degree...

People need to just work on NETWORKING and meeting people that make decisions in the area you want a career in and go from there. 99% of the time if you are personally recommended the required mins don't even matter...
