A month or two ago I deleted all the test data in a load test environment when I was manually testing some clean up scripts I wrote in a postgres cli
Erased weeks worth of test results some offshore dudes had been working on
Had to write a message in the load test slack and told them I was making a new shell script and procedure so it never happened again :troll:

This Mexican chick at my old warehouse job was driving a forklift, she raised the forks too high and hit the sprinkler. Flooded the cooler and destroyed tons of food.

It was her first day on the job
:francis:
Did that with a pallet cart and knocked over a endcap. Manager came out and said you need to be trained on that, dude who was training me was useless

A VP submitted a ticket once to fire one of their subordinates and I accidentally terminated the VP somehow :merchant: Managed to fix it before it was noticed tho :whew:
:dead:

I disabled the CEO and company founders AD account after a team lunch and a few too many red wines.

I was meant to reset the password or unlock it because his phone was getting locked One of those ones where you feel your heart beat in your stomach.
I've done a combo of both of these with some management AD accounts but was able to fix that shyt, luckily it was the overnight shift I worked:whew:

The management team failed itself.

There’s no way something can be that important without the facility having multiple controls to prevent that hazard.

Also, there’s no way something can be that important without constant reminders of how important that area is to the entire staff.

Whoever is in charge of their emergency response program or loss control management system should be fired. :camby:
According to the article they had signs and a lockout box over the switch for the fridge but the janitor flipped the breaker to cut the power.

Sounds like the janitor went out of his way to turn the fridge off.

Many years ago i worked at a supermarket. I worked the produce department. Im in the cooler, with the forklift, about to put a pallet of some stuff on the top shelf. I was skipping songs i my ipod , not paying attention, and raised it to high. I ended up caving in part of an air duct right where a fan was located. The fan kept spinning against the bent up air duct, sounding like a goddam machine gun. It was LOUD, you could here it all througout the whole building, the air ducts spread the sound everywhere.

It gets better, a few member of the family that owns this chain of stores was there for a meeting. (Wegmans)

It gets even better. To operate those type of forklifts you had go through in-store certifation training as a sefety rule. My lazy ass dept. manager never bothered to get me certified, so he had to take the blame. He was mad as fukk and wanted to discipline me, but couldnt do anything, because officially on paper he did that shyt

They never let me use that forklift again.

I used to take years off repayments pensioners were making and make it look like a mistake in calculations. I know I was not gonna be there when they discovered it if ever while record keeping ...fukk a corporation. They said it was technically illegal for us to charge back pensioners for overpayment yet we still did it. Had an open spreadsheet with 2 billion in overpayments. Signed an NDA and everything.

fukk _____ corporation

I'm dying, the janitor was so fed up with the alarm he went through all that trouble to shut it off :dead:

Almost left a major hospital without intrusion detection protection while rebuilding their management center. Luckily, they were on the sensors from the previous build so I was good :wow:. I would have been in hot water if that was the case.
Another one, I al most caused a client outage running a pcap in the root directory where the OS is :hubie:. Removed the file, called the client, I was honest with them and rebooted the system. They were cool with it.

ATL, but rasied in DMV
Drinking beer from one of the kegs inside a closed store, while doing my nightly rounds, when I was a 20 year old security guard at Wild World, now Adventure World, although that don't really qualify as a big mistake. I did it about twice. Today, with all the security cameras, I would have surely been caught.
