Wouldn't the press ultimately just be him going on the handful of radio shows that fukk with this type of stuff, like Bootleg Kev and Sway? It's possible that's already been recorded and will drop Monday or Tuesday.
That's fair, but I honestly have a feeling even that might not happen. We'll see I guess. I'm assuming he's cool with everything :manny: Hopefully he got a nice bag on the vinyl sales. I saw some of the pricier ones were sold out. edit: @Piff Perkins I also think that was his final Rhymesayers obligation, so I'm curious if the way he releases and promotes music changes from here on out.

Another great project from EV. Greatest Motivation is the only I’m not feeling too much. Top Seeded, Seeing Double and Future Memories are my favorites so far from the songs that weren’t already released.

I legit wonder if the Rhymesayers youtube channel did some shyt to get blacklisted or half shadow banned or something. The views for this thing are horrendous. The track with Larry June barely has 1,000 views, and the video for Stay Alive doesn't even have 10,000 views. There's no press for this thing. Just feels super odd all around. The views for Throw It All Away are almost 8 million, and Ev has a lot of other videos with millions of views, or even strong 6 figures.

Makes me sad that more people won't hear this.
The press has been terrible, iv rinsed those videos but where's the podcast circuit? Sway? All those mini vids ryhmesayers do I the lead up

I know he was in Europe for a month but could of been handled better

Production is fire but I can't get into Ev's sleepy delivery for a whole album. He's dope lyrically but I think he's better when there's a feature and he doesn't have to carry a song. Definitely some songs going into the playlist though.

I'm on the other end, what I like most about his music is his delivery. It's like you can tell how he pinpoints what he wants to write and deliver his verse. It's hard to explain but for me, it's like he is just having a conversation with his listeners and he just happens to rhyme.

I... don't like the nearly as much as I liked Vol. 1. And just based off the produciton, I know that my opinion isn't gonna change and this won't grow on me.

I'm always down for new Evidence, there are 2/3 tracks that I'll keep in semi-regular rotation, but as far as running the full project back, I doubt I'll do that more than 2 or 3 more times to be sure

Same. I actually don’t think he sounds lazy. I think he’s got a monotone voice but I think the actual delivery is very sharp and deliberate. And I like the conversational song writing.

I feel similar to Alfredo 1 and 2 with Unlearning 1 and 2. I think the 1st ones have higher highs, but I think the 2nd ones are more consistent throughout. And I think the 1st ones feel heavier and less colorful.

Yeah. Unlearning Vol. 1 had immdiate standouts and immediate highs. Then with time, other songs also grew on me, which went on to make a lot of the overall album very listenable.

Vol. 2 just doesn't have any high highs, which means (for me, and to my taste) the middling songs just blend together, and there's at least 1 song I straight up didn't enjoy (Greatest Motivation)

The middle of the album brings it down until Rain Every Season tbh

But I don't even hate it. Greatest Motivation is 100% a 2025 version of Can't Lose
