It seemed kinda lazy to not use a more scientifically advanced security measure which would've needed a lot more additional time to explain how dude would have to circumvent it?

Seems more like convenience than laziness to me, but that might just be the writer in me talking. :sas2:

Convenient is probably a fairer word. It didn't really detract from the movie, because the specific plot machinations are secondary to the themes of the film.

That dude was so lame...what exactly was he gonna do if he broke her out..for intelligent guy he really didn't think it through
Dude was in love and already humanized her in his mind too. He was a smart programmer but Nathan picked him out because a woman would be able to manipulate him easily

Yeah but how "smart" are you when you are manipulated by a known robot...I understand that was what Nathan's idea was for the test to be true...you went in knowing this bytch a robot and you still want to take her home...:mjlol:

Well...

Nathan did explain that he modeled Ava after his search results in order to create a woman that would appeal to him the most. And the test wasn't just to see if Caleb would fall for a robot knowing it's a robot, but whether Ava would use this knowledge to manipulate him.

Also, I posted that in spoiler tags because you guys are getting kinda reckless out here. Just saying.
