Exclusives are a GOOD thing and without it, gaming would be WORSE off.

Would you prefer a game not exist at all instead of it being exclusive?

  • Yes, I rather a game be exclusive and exist than to not exist at all.

  • No, I want games to be everywhere and to stifle creativity *hides Xbox logo on shirt*

  • :mjlol: Sony stans

on a side note, it's going to be hilarious when GTA 6 launches and all this 'there's no value in playing a game on console if it's eventually coming to PC' posturing goes out the window
GTAV still a best seller to this day.

The overwhelming majority of people that will play the game will buy it well after release.

All this stuff yall talmbout is just fomo hype.

yall just project your FOMO on everyone else. PC Gamers already went through it with GTA 5 and RDR 2. and when the game does come to PC, the best mods, RP servers, etc., will be there

The era of console exclusivity is coming to an end. As game development costs continue to rise, it makes far more economic sense to release titles across multiple platforms. With rapid advancements in technology—especially in areas like cloud gaming—limiting releases to a single console is no longer a smart strategy. In today’s market, cross-platform availability isn’t just practical, it’s essential.

I would say that Xbox Anywhere is amazing, and I hope Sony follow suit.

Nintendo emulation on PC is better than native support.
I know you're trying to make a point here but as someone that has played a few Switch games on there, it's not perfect. There's a lot of games with issues like Bayonetta 3 that everytime I tried had some audio sync issue. Pretending that the emulator is perfect and 99% of games work with zero issues and no user config experience required is disingenuous.

Wanting to play a game that's highly anticipated at release isn't FOMO. The fukk kind of nonsense is this lol?

Someone will have to buy a PS5 or Series X to play GTA VI next year, is that good for consumers? :troll:

I didn’t say it was “perfect”

This is you attacking strawmen again.

Nintendo emulation on PC is well supported.

Nintendo hardware is dusty AF.

Even with emulation inconsistencies, most hames you will have a better experience on PC than on switch.

yeah, with Switch emulation generally only the games that have got a lot of attention run well. it's definitely not something where you can say all Switch games can be played on PC

Dudes scoff at this kinda stuff but when we end up wherever we are going they are gonna wish they purchased their games through the xbox store.

The first game i ever purchased on XBL Geometry wars like 25 years ago is still playable right now on any device i chose to play it on. That’s amazing value to me as a consumer.

It will be stuff like that, that differentiates the platforms going forward as content becomes pretty much the same.

You keep trying to use this 'hype/fomo' angle on a gaming sub-forum full of enthusiasts. So now no one can genuinely enjoy any form of entertainment at release simply due to the quality of the content? It's all reduced to "hype"? Anything to protect your talking points huh :ohlawd:

You say that as if "PC Gamers" are gonna hold the line or something :mjlol: Majority of them will be right there too day one with their undercover console, which will be contributing to why the game's gonna do unprecedented numbers out the gate :yeshrug:

I think emulators are amazing, but sometimes there's just some games that aren't good on there. I had issues with quite a few games that just didn't work as intended. SMT V, TOTK around launch and a few others had issues where I just said fukk it I'll wait. Even old PS1 emulators can have problems. Imagine getting to disc 2 on FFVII to Gaea's Cliffs and your entire save file/app just randomly gets corrupted :mjcry:.

It's absolutely FOMO.

Especially how console heads will spite themselves to beta test play these games early while the PC version gets exclusive features in a definitive version in a year.

There's more games releasing than time to actually play them too.

It’s fine to say FOMO is the reason you own your console. That’s not even a bad thing. If you find value in that great.

This thread is about “exclusive” games tho.

Yall playing lose with the term “exclusive” so you can preserve your talking point.

Just say you love your PS5 so you can play the occasional game before everyone else :manny:
