He just sold 600,000 so what people are you talking about?
Internet forums still hyped about KRS dissing somebody in 2016:dahell:
Yeah. He sold 600K to people who like Rihanna and Mumford and sons and Justin Bieber. Not hip hop fans.

What do you mean "let him"?

I mean they let him buy himself into stardom. He got a hip-hop makeover. lol

He's the equivalent of Dizzy in the classic film The New Guy.

You use the resources you can to make a name for yourself.
And that's what he did.

This is the same thing Instagram hoes do.
Are you content with admitting that's basically what Drake is?

Why do y'all act like the only people who listen to Drake are pop fans, just because you don't?
Like I said I don't even listen to Drake but to deny his popularity in hip-hop and start to decipher what's "hip-hop" and what's not because you don't like him is ridiculous.
Yes he appeals to Pop fans.
Yes he appeals to white people.
But according to you, every single person who listen to Drake is a white pop fan? Because if that's what you believe you either that out of touch with music, or you not black.

Seriously?
I don't even listen to him but there's no denying he is RUNNING hip-hop right now.

But all I see is clowns talking bout
"bu bu but he didn't sell as much as you think he did!!"
"bu bu but Hotline Bling came out a while ago!!"
"bu bu but he's a fraud"

All that bullshyt ain't changing the fact that he is the #1 rapper in the game.
Go listen to your DJ Kay Slay mixtape from 2006 and shut the fukk up :umad:

This a dumb ass post.

So Drake was the first nikka in hip-hop who was a nerd acting like he was cool?
All these rap nikkas that started gang-banging and sold more drugs than Pablo Escobar on records but wasn't about shyt prior to rapping and Drakes the one who started that? :mjlol:

:snoop:

The vast majority of people buying his shyt are pop fans. Because he makes pop music. Half of "Views" ain't even rap. The biggest song on the album is "Hotline Bling", which clearly ain't rap.

I got my problems with Drake but his shyt being pop....which it definitely is....ain't one of them. But let's not sit here and act confused as to why his music and by extension his fan base, would be considered pop. People talk about these insane numbers he's pulling down then get defensive when you say he's a pop artist. :what:

Did I call Drake a nerd?
Did I say Drake wasn't about chit prior to rapping?

No.

Now, show me where these other rappers you talmbat took their money from acting
on childrens' television shows and gave to record labels saying "make me a rapper"...

Drake's success is manufactured, bruh. I'm just not falling for the okey-doke.

So hip-hop is not fukking with Drake?
When drake spits a verse on anybody's song it's not the most talked about verse amongst those in hip-hop?
What ever kind of sub-genre you want to label it, hip-pop, hip-hop with pop appeal, it's still hip-hop.

Drakes success was manufactured?
You can't manufacture someone's success unless the record labels are literally buying his albums and buying his concert tickets.

Yes.

Mmkay.
If you figured out how to manufacture success the Coli is beneath you.
You need to be the head A&R of a major record label because they have literally lost millions trying to do so unsuccessfully.

If the general public doesn't fukk with you, they aren't going to fukk with you regardless of how much money a label spends trying to make them successful.

Perhaps.

They've made many more millions than they've lost, because they know how to manufacture successful
artists. This is not a foreign concept to anyone, except maybe yourself.
