Even in the darkest nights, I'm a MAC for life
what did polow the don do again?
Chopping up loops n putting drums on em....then mixing to get it how you want aint no abc shyt...as simple as it sounds. Some of the greatest beats ever had few elements to em....it doesnt take away anything from the beat or its creator...
I'm saying, being able to identify exactly where something came from...isn't exactly an exposure.
It's not like Hit Boy, Polow, StarGate or any of the producers are even claiming that they created every single beat from scratch, and any sound they used...was created by them.
I can't call it tho, are cats upset that these producers didn't try hard enough to make their beats unrecognizable to their ears... or are they upset that these producers use the same shyt at primitive levels and still manage to outdo them?
I'm not mad at him. It's the same shyt with sampling to me... and why I don't sample
It's easy as hell to use a loop to make a hot beat, I did it all the time when starting off. Then I wanted to create my own shyt... eventually started using real musicians to make riffs/loops for me if it was something too complex. It is what it is.
And where did I say anything about making complex music? You guys have it messed up. Music isn't about how "hard" or complex it is to make. It's just making a dope sounding end final product. Millions of people have access to the same samples, loops, packs or w/e but they ain't making the same final end product.
Also there was alot of extra shyt going on in both the Cold and nikkas in Paris stock loops that was either removed and/or altered.
And where did I say anything about making complex music?
I said if a riff or loop was complex for ME, then I'll use actual musicians.
Most hip hop beats aren't complex at all... And most aren't originally created by the producer. They're usually sliced together from someone else loop or sample. What I try to do is record from other musicians so I won't have to pay royalties for a loop or sample. And plus I have input on the riff itself. Sometimes I just let them play for however long then go back and chop/cut what I want.
most music isn't complicated either, i hate when elitist muhfukkas try to act as if Hip Hop is so easy to make. it's just as easy as any band playing a simple 1-2 drum pattern, strumming 3 chords & mumbling some words.
i pulled a knife out on 4 dudes in the past week and punched a bytch in her mouth for hitting me first
ok good for you breh
To me it's even more impressive using stock shyt to make a hit
The funny part about this, is that people act like stock shyt somehow makes people frauds..... but the reality is that if it was so easy to do, they'd be doing it and hanging out with all these rappers and getting deals.
Again... I will stress this point of me saying it's complex TO MEmost music isn't complicated either, i hate when elitist muhfukkas try to act as if Hip Hop is so easy to make. it's just as easy as any band playing a simple 1-2 drum pattern, strumming 3 chords & mumbling some words.

It's actually been known for the longest that Hudson Mohawke did nikkas in Paris anyway, and hit boy basically lifted the shyt off him
I don't think hit boy is a fraud but I think producers use to be held at a certain level of regard when it came to their unique craft of being able to make original content.
