I don't think hit boy is a fraud but I think producers use to be held at a certain level of regard when it came to their unique craft of being able to make original content.

Sampling in my opinion is different then clicking and dragging a 8sec loop :yeshrug:

I feel like the quality of music and the creativity of the producer go hand in hand.

It's the same thing........

That gucci mane mario Bangladesh track had a stock loop from fruity loops and it was a hit

I'd it was as easy for people to make hits doing it then what's everyone excuse to not have a number 1 hit like hit boy

No exposal here.

Make dope beats. Period.

If that means discovering an amazing sample and looping it up or hearing the potential in a stock loop and making a dope beat out of it.

I respect anyone who can consistently come out with dope beats no matter the method. Because 95% of producers suck. Period. Just listen to soundcloud.

When it comes to hip hop, having a good ear and vision is the truth.

How many trained musicians are out there who just make boring ass beats.

And then you have an alchemist per say who hasnt played a real instrument in his life.

Just look at the list of the best hip hop producers. Its funny how a large majority of them really dont have any formal musical training.

dj premier
Rza
dr dre
just blaze
swizz beatz
kanye weat
timbaland
havoc
lex luger, polow da don for you new school cats

and im not knocking musicianship cuz i love the neptunes and scott storch.

But having a good ear and vision is what hip hop producers are made of.

Truth be told, a lot of trained musicians that ive met have told me that they wish they didnt have any training at all because it boxes them in a certain methodology

I'm so disappointed in breh :wow:

Palow da don all over again :snoop:

I'm so disappointed. So I was eating some gumbo my Grandma made yesterday and realized, she used the same sausage that my aunt used in her jambalaya :snoop:
I mean she chopped them up differently by splitting the link long ways first and cut them into triangles, but that's not the point, it was still fraudulent.
What made it worse was she had the nerve to use the same crab legs that Jameis Winston got from Publix and thought a nikka wasn't gonna notice. :wtb:

Everyone has the same access to these stock beats, so why don't all these wannabe beat makers make beats as hot as nikkas in Paris or cold?

You still need the ear and creativity to turn something stock to something listenable

Only a non-game person can make a statement like that...Meaning that sampling, using stock loops and libraries is just another part of the stash a BEATMAKER has in his arsenal!
Let's just get into some facts:
The best things in rap, hip hop, pop and any commercially driven style of music, are the ones that have the IT factor - GENIUS SIMPLICITY... Best example is THE POLICE - EVERY BREATH YOU TAKE (right now is in the 20 best royalty checks in the whole music Game! Number one is the HAPPY BIRTHDAY shyt!)
I've been making music since 1997 and YES i do use stock loops! I am not a greatly piano or guitar player! I use to be a drummer so my strength is the groove, but at first i was just downloading some shyt and never botherd to pay for it! As much as i got deeper in the producing game i started to purchase libraries, so that i can use them commercially, and of course to appreciate the work of the person who made them! Eventually back in 2000 i said that i am always gonna try to create my own drum groove, play as much as possible, or program as much as i can! Just to feel happy on the inside about my creative level! Bu the pace changed, the libraries changed...If you make beats now you know - some sites have such a bargain that for a 100 bucks you wiil have material to sample, replay, reuse, or rearrange for years to come...And most of the time played flawless and by great musicians!
You have to also know how a producer/beatmaker caries himself about these things...
I don't consider myself a producer as a level, because i really think great producers carry a GOD like aura in this music business: THEY CAN RECORD AND CREATE A WHOLE NEW SOUND FOR A DRUM SET, RECORD FREAKIN OCHESTRAS AND EVEN READ THE MUSIC THAT THEY ARE RECORDING!
So exposing somebody seems like something childish! Kanye wants to be compared to Bethoven, but that's silly and stupid! These guys are in a easy jenre and as soon as they switch the drum game or play with the tempo and sample something that's not so regular for hip hop they are called GENIUSES! The real geniuses are the ones behind the boards! Most of the time these new cats is just beatmakers! They come up with a great idea all wrapped up in a muddy mix, bounce the tracks to somebody who really produces and the shyt becomes a diamond after the great ears of some music GOD touch it! Just ask somebody who worked with the great hip hop artist about the original mixes they we given by the beatmakers!
So it's just one big circle and personally i think that most of the cats in music right now should be just humble, because most of the shyt that's hot right now is just old recycled shyt and the real geniuses were living in other times, even in other centuries! Watch a documentary on Pink Floyd for example, especially if you delved into their music and know how innovative they were! Watch a YOUNG GURU interview and hear how they make 5 master versions for all the different platforms in hip hop, so that the song fits perfectly for radio, tv, internet and etc...
So about the loops - Loop is just a loop, you can't make a career and be a great producer of of one loop, but if you got the ear and the years of experience, you'd know that you got a diamond in the rough that need a lil polishing! So you buy the shyt, use it, i'd even recommend to play with it, switch the tonality a lil bit, play with the tempo and go rock with it! The game don't have the time and money to make you sample guitarists, piano players, string sessions or whatever, because everybody wants a hit yesterday! But when you get the big money, that's when you have that dough to really make a unique sound and be a ZIMMER, then you can start the real creative process!
