i'll say this...

i did a thesis paper on this subject and the facts are blacks are fleeing non-gentrifying neighborhoods just as fast as they are fleeing gentrifying neighborhoods

there are two trends at work here. it isn't as simple as 'white people driving everyone out.'

yeah cuz at 1st i thought that was where the henry horner or rockwell projects was, but both of'em a lil farther west...maybe it was some poor asians livin in that area

I go back to my old crown heights hood every now and then and an AMAZED st the transformation. shyt, two weeks ago I drove thru BEDSTUY, a block from marcy projects, at like 11pm and the amount of whites walking carefree had me literally ing. That shyt used to be deadstuy back in the day.

I wouldn't be mad except that when you have 3/4 hipsters sharing a 2 bedroom, rents skyrocket.
