yall seem awfully sure that these guys would be willing to take a cut based on endorsements

Steph as it currently stands is tragically underpaid....but we know that was based on the contract he signed after his history of ankle injuries

He is a 2xMVP championship winner.....He is not leaving a cent on the table...and I am not believing that he is taking less than he can until I see it with my own eyes....Its Lacob that has to take the hit...not steph

I guess it's up to how cheap Iggy & Livingston would sign for

If GS renounces both of their rights and then resigns KD with cap space, and use Curry's bird rights to bring him back, that would only be using ~56 million with Curry's cap hold and the guarenteed contracts

But then you get to the depth problem, and those dudes probably not interested in getting paid so little

I don't really know how all this shyt works though

Understood

I was merely pointing out that the idea that he is going to take less than what he is eligible to get based on "potential off-court income" is a pipe dream and one that I am sure no one credible is banking on....

"Last year, the Cleveland Cavaliers, with a payroll of $107 million against a salary cap of $70 million, paid a record $54 million in luxury taxes to put their championship team together.

In 2017-18, the Trail Blazers will set a new record for the highest payroll. They have committed nearly $142 million to keep their young team together. This is the Trail Blazers we’re talking about!"
Could New CBA Force Golden State Warriors To Blow Up Super 4?

is there any indication that Lacob is stingy and not willing to keep that core group together? :patrice:
I'd imagine to be "light years" ahead of everybody else dude has gotta be willing to break off some bread
if so, this hopeful prognosticating is for naught :umad:

You do realize that if the Warriors don't win the title another team full of young Black men getting paid will still win right?

Yea I know......my sentiment was more towards how the league through the CBA at times appears to punish teams for getting talent.

Of course this is all moot if an owner is willing to pay......

I however am not one of those people who thinks that it is a done deal that Lacob will pay.

Richer owners in the nba have balked at the tax.
