that's cuz using eminem as a producer is NEVER a good idea. his beats are HORRIBLE.

I never understood why people hated on the Eminem production of the cross. I thought it was a great head nodding track with nas killing it as usual. The song bumps to me, especially in the whip. As much as I love heaven, even had me smirk when I heard someone bump it while driving past me in 2016, I had to go with made you look. I hardly ever go with the single but this was undeniable! I remember the first time I heard it on nas's site when they premiered it and never looked back!

Personally, the beat was just meh. The 9th remix beat gave the song more life.

Made You Look. It's a classic song that had the streets going crazy. Get Down is probably second for me. Man that album starts so strong. Even The Cross is cool dude to the chorus. But then Zone Out starts...scust. Still a good album.

Damn shame Nas hadn't rapped over many breakbeats lately. Give me Nas over up tempo shyt and it's almost certainly gonna be a classic.
