"Who's the best: Pac, Nas and Big?"
A continuation of my "Favorite track off a Classic or Great album" threads . Yesterday I covered Ol' Dirty b*stard's "Return to the 36 Chambers" in which the majority voted for "Brooklyn Zoo". Today I will be covering a certified classic, Raekwon's "Only Built 4 Cuban Linx" . This is it man, this is THE album. Not only is this possibly the best mafioso album, but arguably the GOAT(depending on who you ask) if not, it's definitely top 5. OB4CL is Hip-Hop perfection
at nikkas who think otherwise. The album showcases a prime Raekwon although some say he was in his prime LYRICALLY on Immobilarity but we all know how that album turned out
. The album also showcases a prime RZA who produced every track on the album. If there's anybody you know who wants to get into hip-Hop then OB4CL is the album to show off. Not a single bad track on the album, no skipables, almost every track is a classic. Every member of the Wu appears on the album with the exception of ODB & each provide classic verses. Nas also makes an appearance on the track "Verbal Intercourse" & provides arguably the best verse on the album. If you told me to pick out the weakest song off OB4CL i'd probably say "Knuckleheadz" but even then the track goes
& is better than most nikkas careers. But if you told me to pick out my favorite i couldn't give you an honest answer as my favorite changes from time to time. One day it's "Incarcerated Scarfaces" the next it's "Guillotine" the next it's "Glaciers of Ice" etc.. It's almost impossible but I'm going to lean towards "Glaciers of Ice" for now. What's your favorite track off this classic, & if you can, explain.
