That man is an African immigrant (if he’s even in the states). He told us to hold our own nuts earlier in the thread, which we damn sure will.

He is only here to concern troll and to undermine our struggle. Why he’s so invested to being on the opposing end of this particular issue that has nothing to do with him, you tell me. :mjpls:
He is not an African immigrant.

Just a way to broadly categorize us, thereby diminishing our ability to understand who and what we are. Hispanics, Latinos, whatever government designation it is, means nothing to me at the end of the day. I only use those terms when I don’t want to scare people about Chicano separatism :skip:

Are you going to address the racism on display every day on the locker room? Of course not, because it is an absurd proposition to categorically claim all black people are like that. In the same way I’m not going to answer for the other man, but I can acknowledge that there are issues.

It’s sad that even the people protesting against this temporary housing have come out the gate to say that it is not a racial issue, but the locker room can’t waste any opportunity to turn it into one. :mjlol:

@audemarzz im not going to really bother in this thread, but we can discuss it in PM if you want. I will just say that LULAC was not a revolutionary organization, it was created with the express intent of assimilating existing Mexicans into the country. They later abandoned these policies and essentially exist as an arm of the democrat party.

I’m very critical of them but they did do some good things.
I don't care about racism in the locker room
I care about policy and resources

You acknowledge that there are issues but you won't stand on it. You won't tell your people to stop taking opportunity and priority over the Black American community. All this ally stuff is cool but like you said, you align with your ethnic group - not ours. So you will cheer on every milestone your people cross even when they are at the detriment of the Black American community. The Black Chicagoan community can dwindle to 5% and all you would do is give your condolences and hope we get justice one day.

As a Black man, I have survival instincts. I see my people being displaced out of every major city in America while others are gaining ground. The same cities we died help building, generations of Black Chicagoans have been pushed out or priced out while your community continues to grow. If you are a Hispanic man, you understand these instincts so you should understand why I will not apologize for that video and my people speaking out against bringing migrants into a historically Black community.

My pops is the proudest fukking Mexican dude out there. He works construction, he bears tattoos of Aztec iconography and he used to mock me relentlessly for having “white” interests like rock music, philosophy and computers. He’s so dark that I used to say he looked like max from mortal kombat. But he’s also a republican, which begs the question why? How could someone so at odds with WASP society hold such contradictory views?
I also seem to recall throngs of Mexican “white” people protesting and calling for her resignation. But I mean, they must obviously be confused because according to TLR we are a buffer class meant to keep the power structures in place :pachaha:

And once again, I ask when will Mexicans be admitted into the white people club? The Italians, Irish and all those others managed it, but we’ve been here longer than them! That’s some bullshyt, and seems to suggest that surprise we aren’t seen as white.
What you continue to avoid is how your people treat Black people, not just in America but in your own Latin countries. I lived 1 year in Latin America so I saw the racism. Maybe that's why we are getting worried and speaking out like this. We suffer from PTSD due to the racism experienced from Whites, many who identify as Latino as well.

I don't like Dems or Repubs so I'm not denying anything. I already know they don't care about Black people because I know American history. I've also been Black for over 3 decades.
This is timewasting, yall. We not doing this in the new year.

Let him find things annoying in his own mind and argue with his damn self. :pachaha:
He does this with people he can get a rise out of.

I’m from America, dumbass :heh:

Ironically, indigenous people have far more substance to their claim to the land than any self styled ADOS/FBA :mjlol:

Did I not say I had zero problem with the people in this community taking heed and pressing local officials on the matter? It is pretty foul how they blocked out the community with red tape, and the local government should have zero qualms with transparency.

But at the same time this is a pressing issue that is exacerbated by the right wing and their policies, and you have people here falling for it hook, like and sinker every day. It’s a little embarrassing how easy it is to persuade some of y’all

I said they, I didn't say you

And two, even if someone is born and raised in America, if they're second or third generation, and have lineage they can trace back, that's something that AfAms don't have

Bit you knew that

What do you think about reparations for ADOS?

Will Mexican Chicagoans join us and tell officials that the migrants shouldn't be in the area?

I’m for reparations. Black Americans have endured centuries of humiliation and oppression. It is this racial hatred that is buried deep in the heart of the American condition. It is that colonial mindset that enabled the atrocities committed on behalf of expansionism and slavery.

But I wonder how many black Americans would agree with the land back movement and Chicano nationalism? :jbhmm:

Are y’all implying Mexican communities aren’t being displaced and gentrified? It’s happening in LA right now. East LA neighborhoods like echo park are making way for hipster types and the established communities there can’t keep up with the soaring costs of living. It’s happening all across the board, and considering Mexicans and blacks occupy the same neighborhoods across the country, we bear the brunt of these aggressive practices.
:dahell:I'm not implying anything. I speak on black issues because I'm black. I can't focus on what Mexicans are going through outside of immigration's direct effect on the black community

Ironically the small cac towns in places like Idaho and Wyoming need an infusion of immigrants to sustain themselves because the old cacs are dying off and the young cacs are moving to big cities.

But we all know that those cacs don't want these folks there.
