I was raised old school, and I'm going to spoil the person I'm with if it's gotten that point, but by no means is my sole purpose of making money is to support another grown human being.
Big difference between being respectful and being stupid with your money. Only family gets those privileges, a random chick nah. In 2016 there is no reason you should be actively funding the expenses of a grown woman. If you are you lawst. If she was even about shyt she wouldn't even want that. Some of y'all still can't fathom a relationship where a man leads, but a woman can bring just as much to the table. Y'all treat the occurrences like they have to be mutually exclusive and they don't.
My ex girlfriend was still in school so she didn't have a copious amount of money, but what she lacked in money she made up with in other attributes, like cooking. I don't mind paying dinner once to twice a week for a chick who brings something valuable to the table like throw down in the kitchen half the week. Even then she'd pay occasionally. But nikkas ready to shell out their hard earned cash because it's the "gentleman" thing to do like it's 1923 or something and she doesn't do anything in return got the game all the way twisted. I'm all for my woman out here trying to hustle and get her money just like me. Because if she is, I'm going to take care of her more just because she doesn't need it or expect it.

. You don't have to be cheap, but at the same time you shouldn't be spending over 10% of your income on someone whose only worth is laying on their back every night.
