STEM jobs ain't going no where, maybe Help Desk jobs..but on-site American jobs are staying...

Trades or Military are the next options...

I went to college, Most of my most fullfilling career jobs I could've done with zero college but I needed Military experience.

I had to take some college course while in the Military to do certain aspects of my job though.

Life is about looking at statistics and making an informed decision. As we all know you can do everything right and things might be different for you than for someone else who went through the same schooling. I know plenty of engineers who are under employed. Meaning they don't do much actual engineering work. There's also a massive amount of foreign engineers in this country you are competing with so things arent always green. Also there's many types of engineering that all are very different from each other. The traditional engineering fields aren't paid that well. I did civil engineering and even did masters degree in the end after a few years i went to work in construction management for better pay. It opened up my eyes how well the trades get paid. Bottom line is we cant paint everything with the same brush, you can be successful without being educated.

You being able to pivot between industries kind of proves my point. With your engineering degree and masters, the likelihood of you making a high salary is much higher than someone without either.

Outliers do not make a situation feasible for the average joe.. Statistically you are better off with a BA/BS for greater earning potential...Or be prepared to put on a combat or construction helmet to earn a living...

Again, I never said they couldn't make money. I said advanced degree holder in those subject are more likely to make more money. You can call them fluffy accessories or useless all you want. That's not the point. They more often than not will command a higher salary all other variables being equal.

As for the bolded, I'm in MBA classes every week with people in those industries that work at F500/1000 companies and I know that's not true.

True but you take an english major from small college they'll get a managerial position coupled with debt and their job likely being in a expensive city whereas Joe sixpack can make 45K in Enterprise Alabama.

As a dude who retied early I can tell you it's not about what you cop it's what you keep. A cop is making way more than either of them and the vast majority of cops sit on their asses their whole careers.

I agree with you. I'm very pro education and going to school to learn. My views sort of shifted when I was on the inside looking in i spent 3 years as a teaching assistant and working in a research lab. Higher education has turned into a business. Professors were not interested in actually teaching. They were all about focusing on getting funding from businesses/government & attracting international students/out of state students who were a huge cash cows for the school and local economy.

Social media pulled back the curtain for regular men the consistent sexual attention women give men they find sexually attractive. There are several other factors, but a lot of men in the middle are realizing that if she didn't want to fukk you off GP, trying to convince her to see value in you in other aspects, won't ever win you her true desire. She might be with you, but she has lust for men of a certain ilk. Attraction physically varies in terms of individual taste, but it's safe to say women share similar phenotypical preferences the same way men do.

In Africa when a women vehemently objected to who her father picked for her she would leave the village and go to another one and be a village wife. Because of polygamy there were brehs that lost out to handsome gang or resource gang. The village wife understood that she'd have to be availble to smash these dudes and they'd colectively take care of her until she had a kid or picked one of them.

Nah that's not how it goes, the people in control of the us military, the most powerful and dangerous force on this planet, are wealthy as hell and they dictate every part of my life and your life. Not like I'm complaining tho, it's just a fact of life you gotta accept.

I get your point but a military’s purpose is to fight for and protect a nation. A great military keeps its enemies at bay and/or go on the offensive. The ultimate goal is peace. Of course, there are sick people that build crazy stuff and want to use it but ultimately chill because a peaceful world is worth more.

True. But I believe the overarching point is to live out your twilight years financially comfortable; surrounded by a stable, developed family unit. You can't tell me that's not preferable to spending years 50-85 solo dolo, or as a single mom burdening your kids financially with your existence. Because statistically, the kids raised by that single mom won't be well off themselves. So there's a domino effect that takes place impacting future generations.
