Most of the world is still impoverished. Higher birthrates are associated with poverty. But even in those developing countries, the same trends happen as soon as female become more educated, birthrates decline. I even showed this effect in developing countries in the previous posts.



Of course there are other variables at play as well. But the causal link between improved education PARTICULARLY for women and lowered birthrates even in developing countries is undeniable.

Why? It’s the circumstances many of these women were in, the lack of opportunities and autonomy, that make women rethink traditional roles when faced with different opportunities or delay entering into those roles and being fed up with men is apart of that.

Poor people continuing to be baby boomers for the world population doesn’t discount what I said b/c as the females in those populations gain more educational opportunities their birthrates decrease.

In fact female education has been linked several times to higher GDP in developing countries too...but I won’t get into those implications like decreases in child marriages.

They say they want it because they are expected to want it.

Sure some will. But trends are showing more and more they aren’t as soon as education becomes a factor. As for accepting traditional roles, that’s where it gets tricky b/c it gets back to my point we are seeing women literally go as soon as they get different opportunities.

I never said SOME wouldn’t b/c not every traditional marriage is a trap from hell. But that doesn’t negate the reality of the casual relationship between higher female educational attainment and lower birthrates even in highly traditional cultures.

My hopeful prediction is that it’s making countries and cultures go...”hmm what is making them delay or abandon these traditions?”

My pessimistic prediction says people are gonna be stubborn, dig their heels in, ignore what’s happening until it’s too late.
