Well, the game should have always been Day 1 on PC. I do like the idea of it being not held back by the PS4, but at the same time, not everyone is going out of their way to get a PS5 for its exclusives. Especially when we are seeing all Sony Exclusives eventually making their way to PC. Though I still think the Sony First Parties should still be timed exclusives.

With it being a remake that came out in 1997 where the first part of the game was released in 2020, and we still don't have the full game yet. Plus, compared to the original, it is much more bloated with content. Rebirth itself is longer than the original FF7. Hopefully, the final part is more concise and not bloated unlike the first two parts.

Bump for some December 2024 tweets? What does that even mean “we are satisfied we’re meeting a certain number of sales” what specifically is that certain number? That sentence means nothing.

Number was at 200m in March up 3 million since. We all know XVI flopped on Xbox as it didn't even chart in the top 20 on the NPD or was in top 50 paid games on Xbox. I'm assuming Rebirth, XVI(PS5), and other games might have contributed to the increase.

Used to be one of my favorite series, installed FF16 like 2 months ago and have only played like 15 hours, so fukking boring.

Haven't enjoyed a mainline game since 12.

The only thing good about 16 was the set pieces.

Rebirth was pretty much the same deal.

16 was low key ass outside of the boss fights. Rebirth though was damn near perfect to me. I rather they make the next one more like Rebirth instead of 16 or 15.

I loved this and 16 but then again I like action games and don’t mind the switch from turn based :francis:
I really don't care for either or as long as it's done well. For me Rebirth's combat was the best bit as it still retained all the JRPG elements just now it's in real time whereas XVI pretty much abandoned all of that and made a weak action game masquerading as a JRPG. No real buff/debuffs seen in other FF games, no status ailments like poison, burn, freeze etc.

The gameplay was super shallow. Weapon crafting was pointless, eikon abilities were just ways to stagger enemies differently man it was trash. I have no idea how these devs played XVI and was like "Yeahhh.. this is it." The feel of combat itself was decent.

Rebirth completely shyts on XVI except for boss fights I'll say XVI's boss fights were insane.
