I'm having the same issues, especially on corners. My tactic is to bring the keeper out on corners and just try and stop opponents from running down the flanks with their wingers so they can't cross it in.

Got burned a few times doing that the AI is so stupid the goalie would run under the ball and miss it completely

I know exactly what your talking about there's ppl I play and they only can score headers. Dominating the whole game but they get that one breakaway down the sideline and make that cross smh

This is my biggest gripe, I chose not to play because chasing people down the flanks sucks. And building up an attack is tough because they threw the collision engine out the window.

I usually don't buy FIFA until feb or mar, so I wonder if the new release always has glitches and if patches later improves the game. But how can they screw up the goalie and defensive AI so bad?

I won an Ultimate Team online game today 7-2 in division 6, felt great I've also been winning somewhat consistently on Legendary difficult on single player, really starting to feel solid at this game. By the way, Diego Costa is an absolute beast in this game. Pato is surprisingly good too.
