I got the ps4 version...the issue is when I log it and it needs to do the first download I keep getting an error at like 5%
i heard there was some issues with the digital version on the release day so i dunno if it has been corrected.
maybe you'll find some help here

Never played a MMO and copped this...second day in my internet cuts out and I got to wait for Cox to fix it tomorrow. 
....so I finally beat bytch ass Ifrit during the main story line. The fight is not bad at all if you have a group who knows what the fukk they are doing.... but it was me who almost fukked up last time around because my Topaz Carbuncle kept pulling aggro from the tank, so I had to switch out for my Emerald mid fight and that shyt was not very easy to do if you don't have your hot bars properly set up.
Anyhow, the reason I posted is.... how in the blue fukk do you get a mount?!!!! I see nikkas lvl 14 with one but my lvl 22 is still walking. If this was WoW I would've been cruising through the Barrens two levels ago.....

It depends how far into the main story quest you're in because up until lvl 16ish you do only single player instances. After that that is when you have to travel to each "continent" and do a party instance followed by fighting Ifrit in a trial. (he's the last one I fought, judging by the story I'm about to fight another primal)

I'm a level 10 gladiator on Mateus. I used to play FFXI heavy back in the day, but i'm still getting used to this shyt. I've just been doing quests for the most part.
After you beat Ifrit you get a quest to join a Grand Company, after you join that you can do the choco quest.
and people who are lvl 14 and have a mount either have subscription rewards or are lvling another job and already have one. I got my mount in Beta so i've never NOT had one.
