I don't even know I literally can't get onto it yet.

like 10/month i think...im legacy so i don't pay the full rate. There really is no need to have multiple chars with the way the job system is.
Won't play MMOs on principle for two reasons:
1. fukk paying a monthly fee on top of the game, ISP and Live/PSN.
2. These games don't have an "ending", and just wate your time. Same reason I don't play those irritating money grab games on Android (Clash, Candy Crush, etc)

Game is addictive as fukk...find myself spending a hour cutting down trees 
These games end whenever you want them to end. You can finish all the content and just quit.. I personally think the $15 a month is worth it because when i played FFXI i don't think i bought any other games for like 4 years lol.. I got my money worth out of it.. Sad thing is.. Like all gaming.. it's a time sink.
Not to mention the pay model makes it so these games can be updated constantly. If they have 700k unique users and about 500k active at all times at a minimum of $10 a month that's 5 million a month at LEAST x 10 months is 50 mill its made square so far. Estimate x for server costs/dev costs/promotions and testers that's prolly bout a 2 million a month. So we looking at a net gain of 3 million a month not counting spikes (emergency maint, servers going down, losing/gaining memberships).
The dev teams for this game have to be getting paid well and really love FF because this has been some of the best dev support i have EVER seen for a MMO. Minimal downtime since the launch day, bugs are addressed in a matter of weeks and major updates every three months...its amazing.

You guys are really selling me on buying this game. I played the Beta for about 2 hours. But my busy work schedule I wouldn't fully be able to commit to this. Maybe us busy men with lives should ban together and form a team lol.
I played FFXI from 2004 til like 2010..These games are definitely worth it and if you get bored you can cancel the subscription til they come out with the content you want..
