14 is more casual than 11.When i got busy in 11 i just stopped playing. 14 you can just log in and do something within minutes because of the duty finder..I think FF11 was a lot harder than 14. Seems like they made this game more casual for people that don't have much time to play.

Most def, but there is WAY more to do especially before you hit 50. I was getting frustrated with endgame, but then i got addicted to crafting and now i've taken Goldsmith and Carpenter to 50. Crafting is a neat little game in itself.And if you know how to use your cross class skills you can make serious gil.
Also you will get little thingies called Allagan Tin/Gold/Silver Coins...DO NOT SELL THESE. Stack them up and then sell them in chunks. I made like 300k like that.
in ffxi i had every craft 100 and a billion gil lol.. i haven't touched crafting in this game yet.
Crafting isn't get mats, get crystals and pray you get the craft. Its a game behind it that you can figure out to get constant HQ items. I only crafted/sold Shihei in XI but i did get 3 K Club drops, and a few other drops that made me close to about 300 million before the market crashed in 06. After that and the market normalized i never needed that much gil, it literally paid for my SAM, BLU and THF to 75
i sold my k club for 30mil when i quit.. When i came back it was like 120m lol..I was like the first dude on my server to have Apocalypse. Too bad FF14 doesn't have DRK or SAM i use to tear sh!it up.

I actually expect SAM to be coming very soon. there are story elements that say it might happen.
game was good at 75.. at 99 the game was almost the same as 14 without the duty finder tho. same crystals to teleport, they added raids and stuff.. but at 99 the game was way too easy.

Go do the levequests from the company levemete and that will get you seals...plus if you complete FATES you get some too.
What are levequests? I was at Uldah talked to one of the company dudes and asked for some work to do and it showed nothing at all said try again wait 10hours or something along the lines
the dudes at the random little outposts with the cards over their heads....those are levemetes....they give out levequests and other fights that pay in company seals. You can also do FATES to get seals...after that you go back to your Grand Company, go to the quartermaster and buy your Choco-L's
