Well I said potentially. After reading directors comments and commentary on Reddit, it seems they left it ambiguous as to wether he actually thinks aerith is alive still or if he knows she’s dead and can see her because of life stream shenanigans.

So there’s a few prevailing theories right now. One being what you just stated, that she’s basically a force ghost that only he can see.

Either way I’m interested in what ends up being the case and if they can pull it off satisfactorily
After Final Fantasy XVI’s ending Square needs to leave ambiguous alone. People want to be told a story not have to write it themselves.

The Aerith that dies and allegedly isn’t present in the ending video is present for the final boss fight and both characters have dialog and interaction with her. She’s a force ghost and she really was there Cloud didn’t imagine her to cope with grief.

I loved the ending. The direction they’re taking Cloud is dope. Wonder how Aeris will play a part in the third game.

I hate ambiguous endings for that very reason as it’s a cop out for directors and entertainment entities to not have to craft a definitive ending.
I think the whole Aerith Tifa dilemma is just as bad. The writers should pick one. I know nature seemed to kinda pick Tifa since she was still around but they didn't really make it all that clear.

I never even understood how Aerith was into Cloud. He was barely a person when she met him.

That's exactly what drew her to him, she's a healer and he's the most broken thing on the planet who's cosplaying her ex-boyfriend. She's very aware that he's a phoney and tells him she "wants to meet the real him".

Real Cloud is a doofus talking about moseying up on his opps.

Making me want to replay OG :wow:

I finally got around to play this once it dropped on PC. Best final fantasy game by far.

When Red XIII spoke in his regular voice I fukking lost it. This game is ridiculous.😂😂😂

I hope you did the card tournament on the boat. It was Red XIII's best moment in that game.

Yea, I'm currently trying to 100% the game. I didn't skip a single moment. Him moonwalking in the card tournament was jokes. Some of the moments from this game feels like they're straight outta the Yakuza games
