From the tweet it seems they will be dropping a “full trilogy” sku on all systems.

Was waiting for them to finish so i can jump in and play it all at once.

That's all I ever wanted, the minute they announced that this remake was going to be a thing.
The insanity that is Kingdom Heart releases, need not apply to something as simple and straight forward as FF7, but years later, here we fukking are.

I think that just means Rebirth is coming next to Xbox and Switch, not that Part 3 will be on those platforms day 1 when the release date is announced.

Yeah I think its coming to all modern platforms first then Switch 2 and Xbox.

I think it may be PS5 first then PC then SW2/Xbox. If it launches PC day 1 then hopefully it's a smooth launch as I want to play that shyt with no issues.

I think PS5 1st and then a year or 2 after everything else at the same time. Maybe PC being before the other simply because it'll be ready

People may laugh at this thread but the exclusive status of these games especially the 2nd really harmed the series to the point where it changed the direction of Square Enix itself.

I don't believe Square Enix ever put out any official numbers for what the 2nd title sold but it clearly didn't reach what they wanted it to.

Not so much Xbox but being locked out of other platforms day one negatively impacted sales.

Yeah FF7 remake should have been hyped up and celebrated and released on all systems.

Instead it was called off to PlayStation users and didn't sell like that even though it drop at the start of covid.

It went on to be overshadowed by TLOU2 like a month and a half later.

It's sad you still feel this way :manny:

Selling 7 million in 3 years on PS4-PS5/PC is "not selling like that?" That was as of Sept 2023. We're 2 years past that with still no numbers.

Meanwhile the original FFVII sold 15 million copies as of June 2025 across all platforms which is a LOT of platforms. You guys seem to inflate the original's popularity way more than it actual is in real life. If the original sold 15 million since 1997 across PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Portable, Android, iOS, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, why is the remake somehow held to some unrealistic standard?

-Source

If we change the argument to actual profits, then it's moot because no one knows the costs of the first/second game in the remake trilogy to even discuss this.

Not sure why you adding in PC when I'm strictly talking about PS5 sales.

And FF7 literally changed how people viewed gaming, it also changed the scene here in the U.S and how PlayStation looked at RPGs in general.

Not only that Sony just released the top 20 best selling titles on PS1 and FF7 was like top 3 in dollars and top 20 in units. The original sold about 10 million on the PS1. So since that time across all other platforms another 5 million...

It's literally in the top 3 for most popular/sold game on the PS1 but ok...

:unimpressed:
