I'm glad it got delayed. People might complain now, but it's only ever in hindsight that people call a game rushed. The internet bytched and moaned about FFXV's delay by two months, and look what happened. People say Kingdom Hearts 3 is rushed (I don't personally, it's my personal favourite of 2019 BUT that's besides the point), but complained when I think the date got moved to early 2019.
Square Enix knows that this is game they absolutely CANNOT afford to mess up, because if they do, their reputation is tarnished forever. Too much is riding on this, and considering how they've also had to deal with the criticism of shipping out games earlier than they should be releasing... It takes a lot of balls for the company to come out and say "Know what... We're gonna need more time.

Don't worry though, it'll be worth it."
I'm not sure if the data-mining may have also played a factor, but I like the fact that game developers are coming out more now and being honest with the consumers about game delays. Most people are understanding that sometimes things happen, and you need a bit more time to deliver on something great. April might be brutal on the wallets (start pre-ordering now brehs if you haven't), but I'm optimistic that it'll be a great period for gaming. It'd be nice if we got the demo as something to hold us over, but now that it's coming a month later... Hm.
I feel bad to those who booked off March just to play the Remake though...

But I feel like Spring-Summer time is always a great time to kick back and play games, so no great loss. If anything, just more time to save that money for what's coming next.
