FFVII Remake sold 3.5M units in 3 days amid physical copies shipment shortages in certain areas.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Digital Sales and Shipments Surpass 3.5 Million Units in 3 Days; Digital Sales Continuing to Increase

Shipments for Final Fantasy VII Remake are lower than that of 2016’s Final Fantasy XV, which shipped over 5 million units on day 1. While initial sales numbers for the remake surely are impressive, logistical problems caused by COVID-19 have likely affected the game’s physical production process. As noted by analyst Benji Sales, however, sell-through for Final Fantasy VII Remake (copies actually sold to customers instead of retailers) appears to be higher than that of Final Fantasy XV.

Very impressive given that this sold so well amid current logistical setbacks and this only being on one platform currently.

I'm talking about when the city opened up and side quests were available. I can see someone being 'bored' by the more somber music and harsh day time lighting.
The trainyard/sewers were the worst part of the game for me too. Horrible enemies, bland as fukk area, stuff nobody cared about relative the story with a major plot point just getting pushed further and further to the back...

I feel like I missed out not doing the coliseum with Aerith in chapter 9. Idk why I skipped it.

I passed that section in the original game a few days ago and unless I missed something there wasn't any boss fight and the scene was short as hell. Probably took like a few minutes to get through it.
To me the weakest part of the game was the drop of a bunch of side quests at the start of chapter 14. Chapter 14 was definitely the "let's pad this area out with something..." chapter. Reusing the sewers and adding a bunch of side quests it was pretty obvious.

Yes! I forgot what the freaking plot was at that point.

:ohhh: “What the hell was I supposed to be doing?” I had to trace back to how I even got to the train yard and where I was going cuz the game derails no pun intended off onto tangents that steer you away from the main narrative.

Yeah after you fight abzu you pretty much cruise. The remake added some otha stuff I had no idea they could.

Yeah replaying the old one and certain moments don't hit at all because it all feels extremely rushed. The last chapter in this feels like an epic send off and mission while in the original one it just feels like a inconvenience that gets in the way.

Thing is, I'd rather take sidequests where the tone is to just fukk around than that forced story section that interrupts the fact that you got somewhere to be.
Huh? What do you mean you missed it? It's required. You can't skip it.
The optional fights - only way to get Aerith's Level 2 Limit Break. I missed it too.

You cannot go back with Aerith.

It was jarring and it went on forever.
