Mayweather hasn't fought anybody with the combination of size, strength, and boxing skills like Hearns had.
And he's not stopping Hearns. For all the talk about Hearns suspect chin, only 3 people have stopped him. SRL, Marvin Hagler, and Iran Barkley. Hagler & Barkley were big guys, and SRL's stoppage was premature IMO. And Floyd isn't anywhere near those guys when it comes to punching power.
And even if Hearns chin was that bad, Floyd would still have to get to it with something meaningful without getting caught in return in order to take advantage of that weakness. Hearns had very good hand-speed and a much longer reach. There's no way Floyd would be able to get into position to land a big punch without putting himself in line for something much heavier from Hearns.
There's not many people I can definitely say could beat Floyd, but Hearns is one of the few I can. Of all the mythical matchups for Floyd at WW, Hearns is the one that he has the least chance of winning.
